You didn’t eat overnight, so why can glucose rise?

Your liver can release glucose, and early-morning hormonal changes can contribute to what’s called the dawn phenomenon.

That doesn’t mean your liver is “bad.” Context matters.

Does your morning glucose confuse you?

Yesterday potatoes. Today bread. 😂

“Bread is bad” leaves out a LOT of context.

Which bread? How much? What are you eating with it? What’s the rest of the diet look like?

Processing, fiber, portion and meal context matter.

So let’s start another fight:

BREAD IS FINE or BREAD HAS TO GO?

Yesterday: change the ORDER.

Today: change what happens AFTER the meal.

A short post-meal walk can support the glucose response after eating.

No gym. No hour-long workout.

Try 10 minutes after ONE meal if you’re able.

BREAKFAST • LUNCH • DINNER?

Comment WALK + yours.

Before blaming willpower, investigate the craving.

Physical hunger, stress, boredom, habits and environmental cues can all influence our urge to eat.

Next time it hits, pause and ask: What happened right before this?

HUNGER • STRESS • BOREDOM • HABIT

Comment CRAVINGS + yours.

Insulin rising after a meal is normal. The question isn’t whether your body releases insulin. It’s how effectively your body responds to it.

And a normal glucose reading doesn’t automatically tell you how much insulin was required to keep it there.

Were you ever taught that?

Comment INSULIN if you want more plain-English breakdowns.

Tonight on Testosterone Tuesday we’re talking about “The Shrinking Man” and something every man should be paying attention to as he gets older: losing muscle, strength, and metabolic health.

We’re getting into testosterone, insulin resistance, muscle loss, nutrition, resistance training, protein, recovery, and why the scale doesn’t tell the whole story.

I’m joining the panel and bringing my own experience rebuilding my metabolic health into the conversation.

If you keep chasing the same symptom, maybe it’s time to look at the bigger pattern.

Energy. Cravings. Weight. Blood sugar. Fatty liver.

They don’t always exist in isolation.

What’s the ONE issue you most want to understand?

Comment ROOT + your answer.

“Carbs are bad” is nutrition advice stripped of context.

A potato isn’t soda. Beans aren’t candy. Whole fruit isn’t juice.

Processing, portion, meal context, and your overall diet matter.

Which gets demonized most?

POTATOES • RICE • BREAD • FRUIT

Before changing the entire meal, change the order.

🥬 Fiber first
🥑 Fats + protein
🍚 Heavier carbs later

Simple structure can make a difference.

Could you try it at ONE meal today?

Comment ORDER if you’d like the framework I use.
