We were honored to hold a special flag ceremony as we proudly raised our new flags at Golden Age of Welsh. A heartfelt thank you to Troop 64 from Iota for helping make this meaningful event so memorable!

Moments like these bring our residents together, foster a sense of pride, encourage community involvement, and create lasting memories. We love providing opportunities for our residents to stay connected to the traditions, values, and events that mean so much to them. 🇺🇸

🤠🎶 A Special Visit from Devon the Cowboy! 🎶🤠

There’s always something special about music, and our residents were thrilled to welcome Devon the Cowboy back to Golden Age of Welsh! His wonderful performance had everyone smiling, singing along, and enjoying an afternoon filled with fun and laughter. ❤️

Entertainment plays an important role in the lives of seniors. Live music can help boost mood, encourage social interaction, spark cherished memories, and even reduce feelings of stress and isolation. Most importantly, it brings people together and creates moments of joy that brighten the day. 🎵😊

We are so grateful for visitors like Devon who share their talents and bring happiness to our residents. We always look forward to his visits and can’t wait to have him back again!

Now that Activity Department Appreciation Week has come to an end, we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to everyone who helped make it so special! 🥰

From the thoughtful surprises and delicious meals to the kind words and support throughout the week, we truly felt appreciated and celebrated. Your generosity and encouragement mean so much to us.

It is a privilege to spend our days creating meaningful moments, laughter, and memories with our residents. We are grateful to be part of such a wonderful community that recognizes the importance of bringing joy to those we serve.

🎬🍿 Movie Night at Golden Age of Welsh! 🍿🎬

Our residents recently enjoyed a fun and relaxing Movie Night complete with popcorn, Coca-Cola, and a sweet treat! 🥤🍬🍿 There’s nothing quite like gathering with friends, enjoying a great movie, and sharing plenty of smiles and conversation along the way. 💙

Activities like movie nights offer so much more than entertainment. They provide opportunities for socialization, help reduce feelings of loneliness, encourage engagement, and can even spark cherished memories through familiar films and shared experiences. Watching movies together also promotes relaxation and gives residents a chance to unwind while enjoying the company of others. 😊

At Golden Age of Welsh, we love creating meaningful moments that bring joy to our residents and make every day special. From the snacks to the laughter, movie night was a wonderful success! 🎥✨

This week, we're shining the spotlight on someone who brings energy, laughter, and joy to our residents every single day.. our amazing Activity Director, Skylar Langley! 🎉

💙 Years at Golden Age of Welsh: Over 2 years (although she says it feels like longer! 😉)
💙 Why she chose this career: Skylar loves seeing the fun our residents have and enjoys being able to make a positive impact close to home.
💙 Favorite part of her job: Having fun and dancing with the residents! 💃🕺
💙 Fun Fact: Skylar is a proud mom of three beautiful children—and she's also a twin mom! 👶👶
💙 Outside of Work: She loves spending time outdoors with her babies and making memories with her family. ☀️❤️
💙 Favorite Snack: Chocolate candy bars 🍫

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Myra Harmon, Activity Department 🌟

This week, we're excited to shine the spotlight on Myra Harmon, a valued member of our Activity Department who has been spreading joy and laughter at Golden Age of Welsh for the past 3 years!

❤️ When asked why she chose this career, Myra's answer was simple and heartfelt: "I love making residents happy."

Whether she's leading activities, sharing laughs, or simply spending time with residents, Myra's passion for bringing happiness to others shines through every day.
Her favorite part of the job is entertaining residents and making them laugh, and anyone who knows her can tell that's exactly what she does best!

🎮 Outside of work, Myra enjoys playing games on her computer, crocheting, and cooking.
🍽️ Her favorite foods are pork chops, cabbage, and coconut cake.
🎶 She enjoys Zydeco music and loves spending time watching movies.
✨ A fun fact that many may not know about Myra: "I am God's gift to residents!" And honestly, the smiles she brings to our residents every day make it hard to argue with that!

💙 What does she enjoy most about working with our residents? "I enjoy showing them how much I love them."

ACTIVITY DEPARTMENT APPRECIATION WEEK 🎉💙

Yesterday, our new Administrator, Rhett Wimberly, showed his appreciation by cooking a delicious lunch for our Activity Department! 🍽️😋 The menu included mouthwatering pork steaks, rice dressing, sausage, and all the fixings. It was a wonderful treat and a heartfelt way to say “thank you” for everything they do.

Our Activities Team works tirelessly to create meaningful experiences, fun events, engaging activities, and lasting memories for our residents. Their dedication, compassion, creativity, and love do not go unnoticed. 💐💕

STIRRING UP ACTIVITIES… ON WEDNESDAY! 🎉🧁

What a wonderful Activities Department Appreciation Week it has been at Golden Age of Welsh! 💙

Yesterday was all about dressing up, having fun, and celebrating the amazing team that brings so much joy to our residents each day. 🥰

👩‍🍳 Skylar and Myra put on their baker hats and were ready to whip up some fun, while ✂️🧵 Brittney showed off her creativity as a talented seamstress! The costumes, laughter, and smiles made for a day full of memories and plenty of entertainment.

Our Activities Department works hard year-round to keep residents engaged, active, and smiling. From games and parties to special events and creative activities, they truly make every day brighter at Golden Age of Welsh.

Today, we had the pleasure of treating our amazing Activities Department to a delicious breakfast as part of Activity Department Appreciation Week! ❤️🎉

From warm kolaches and tasty sausage to fresh fruit, donuts, and so many other breakfast favorites, it was a wonderful way to start the day and celebrate this incredible team. 🥐🍩🍌☕

Our Activities Department works tirelessly to bring joy, laughter, engagement, and meaningful experiences to our residents every single day. Their creativity, dedication, and compassionate hearts help make Golden Age of Welsh feel like home.

We are so grateful for everything they do and loved having the opportunity to spoil them with a well-deserved breakfast this morning! 💐✨
