🌿 What is Reggio Emilia? 🌿

Some of our families may be wondering, “What exactly is the Reggio Emilia approach?” So we wanted to share a little glimpse into what makes this philosophy so special at Prodigy Early Learning. 🤍

Reggio Emilia is an approach to early childhood education that views children as capable, curious, and full of ideas. Instead of simply telling children what to learn, we create an environment that encourages them to wonder, explore, ask questions, investigate, create, and share their thinking.

✨ The environment becomes a teacher.
✨ Children’s questions and interests help guide learning.
✨ Art and many forms of expression become languages for learning.
✨ Teachers observe, listen, document, and build upon children’s ideas.
✨ Families are an important part of the learning community.

Tomorrow, we are so excited to welcome a small group of our families into our learning environment for a Reggio Emilia Family Experience! 🌿🤍 This will be an opportunity to experience firsthand how we encourage curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and meaningful learning.

And this is just the beginning! We will be offering these family experiences monthly so that more of our Prodigy families can join us, learn more about our approach, and experience Reggio Emilia alongside their children.
