Through the decades of life, your knees can send signals that most don't understand. We have been taught to call these signals pain, but pain is not always the correct term for these signals.
In my studio, I see people from all walks of life. In every decade of their lives, describing knee symptoms that all get categorized as knee pain. This is mainly due to the lack of understanding and education in the area of health of the joints and muscles and the lack of awareness of what pain is and what is not pain. So it's all just pain.
Then, we have downstream diagnostics: when we have pain, we have pain management, but without pain there is no testing. And if you have listened to any of my podcasts before, you will have heard that pain has not been proven to be the best determinant of what is actually happening.
With all of that said, if pain is not the precise term for what we are feeling in the joint and muscle, what is it that we are feeling?
