A 5-year-old patient from Mexico, with a history of exposure to non-dewormed cats and dogs, presented with visual acuity decline to hand motions only. Clinical examination showed posterior uveitis and a peripheral granuloma by B-scan ultrasound with evidence of a dense vitreous opacity and peripheral retinal traction overlying the retinal granuloma (A, B). Following antiparasitic therapy, the patient's visual acuity improved to 20/150, and fundus examination showed a fibrotic stalk from the nerve with a tractional retinal detachment over the peripheral granuloma (C).
