For hundreds of years, artists have painted mothers nursing their babies. A quiet reminder that these moments of nourishment, comfort, and love have always been part of the human story.

Breastfeeding looks different for every family. It can be beautiful, exhausting, joyful, frustrating, and everything in between. Whatever your journey looks like, you deserve compassionate support, evidence-based guidance, and people who will cheer you on without judgment.

We're looking for both pregnant and non-pregnant women to volunteer for ultrasound scanning as part of a hands-on ultrasound training course that Heart of Iowa Midwifery is hosting.

*This is not a 20 wk anatomy scan and does not take the place of routine ultrasounds ordered by your OB provider.

Whether you're headed to the pool, the farmers market, or simply enjoying a walk outside, taking a few extra precautions during pregnancy can help you feel your best.

โœจ Stay hydrated.
โœจ Eat regular, nourishing snacks.
โœจ Dress for the weather.
โœจ Find shade when you can.
โœจ Give yourself permission to slow down.

The excitement, the nervous smiles, the quiet encouragement during labor, and that first moment holding their baby. It's something we'll never get tired of witnessing.
