We are celebrating a quiet Christmas in the mountains Northern North Carolina! It was a much needed time away for our family after the painful year we’ve had.

Cozy Warm cabin on this cold winter morning in the mountains of North Carolina snuggled with the owners pets.

The hoodwink girls and I were asked last minute to come house sit for a friend. Y’all this is best gig ever. The Lord knew I needed a peaceful retreat after the painful year we’ve been through. The girls and I have gotten to make dinner in a real kitchen, unlimited hot showers and I got to have a nice long soak in a real bathtub. Thm enjoy a warm fire in the fire place.
We hope to get my Cricut craft stuff out and make a few presents while we’re here too.

Thankful for this restful time away!

Contrary to what most think there are parts of Texas that can throw some beautiful falls colors and pristine water. Also some hills that might slightly look like a mountain and some actual large tall trees. These photos came up in my memories from some of our very first travels Fulltime. This was at the gorgeous Garner State Park in Southwest Texas. They do have about 6 sites of full hookups too.

❄️ has frosted the mountain tops here, the weather is cold out, fleece lined pants, wool socks and wool lined boots tells me winter has arrived in Western North Carolina. The oldest has made Hot Chocolate for a scenic drive. I sit here and ponder this new season we’ve entered. It’s exciting and scary all at once. But my ❤️ is full with everything good that’s happened. Really thankful for my Heavenly Fathers goodness.
