Motherhood has given me a whole new appreciation for the beautiful life my mom created for me.
She taught me how to love deeply, care genuinely, laugh often, and always lead with honesty and kindness. She made our house feel like a true home — warm, welcoming, comforting, and beautiful in every way. Thank goodness I inherited my mama’s decorating touch and love for creating a cozy home filled with memories, love, and little details that make people feel cared for.
She has been my best friend through every stage of life. The person I call for everything — the big moments, the hard moments, the random questions, the happy news, and sometimes just because I need my mom. Watching her now be such a loving grandmother to my little boy is one of the greatest gifts of my life.
These last three and a half years of motherhood have been the most challenging, emotional, beautiful, and meaningful years all at once. Being a mom is not always easy, but the little moments somehow become the biggest ones — the cuddles, the laughter, the bedtime talks, the tiny hand reaching for yours. I find myself trying so hard to slow down and truly take it all in, not letting busy life steal these precious moments away.
The same goes for time with my mom. Every conversation, every vacation, every visit, every memory feels more valuable with time. I treasure them deeply and pray for many, many more years with both my mom and my baby boy.
Today I celebrate all forms of motherhood — the mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, bonus moms, dog moms, mother figures, and nurturing souls who love so selflessly.
And I also hold space for those who are grieving their mom, grew up without one, have lost a child, are longing to become a mother, or carry quiet heartbreak on this day. You are seen and thought of today too.
Happy Mother’s Day 🤍
