Your guide to motor milestones 🤍 Watching your baby hit milestones is so exciting, but it can also feel stressful when you're not sure what's normal or what to watch for. Here's what you need to know: If they are developing normally, don't make them do what they can't do naturally. Don't hold their arms and force them to walk. Don't prop them up to sit if they're not doing it themselves. When their spines and nervous systems are developed enough, they will start doing it on their own. Development unfolds naturally when there's no interference. Don't use baby gadgets like bumbo seats, walkers, or bouncing chairs. If you must use them, follow all instructions and limit use to 15 minutes at a time, up to one hour per day. These devices can restrict natural movement and delay development. Carry, baby wear, and do tummy and floor time as much as possible. This supports healthy spinal development, core strength, and natural motor progression. Don't get frustrated alone and don't compare your baby to other babies. Every baby develops at their own pace. Instead, join our community of moms and keep an eye out for signs of spinal imbalance, like uneven crawling (one leg up, army crawling, can't get onto hands and knees), toe in or toe out walk, flat head, constant high ear or high hip, and discomfort during tummy time or in the car seat. If you notice any of these, chiropractic care can help. We're here to support your baby's development every step of the way. 🌸

Baby wearing tips 🌿 Baby wearing is one of the best ways to keep your baby close, support their development, and free up your hands for daily tasks. Here are four essential tips for safe, supportive baby wearing: 1. Babies should only face forward in a carrier once they're older—around 8 months or so. Forward-facing too early can overstimulate babies and puts unnecessary strain on their hips and spine. Keep them facing you until they have the head and trunk control to handle facing out. 2. Turn them facing you if you'll be wearing them for an extended period of time or if they fall asleep. Facing inward supports healthy spinal alignment and allows babies to rest in a natural, flexed position. 3. Legs should not be completely straight down. A proper carrier supports the M-position, where baby's knees are higher than their hips, which promotes healthy hip development. 4. The top of baby's legs should be even with their hips, mimicking a sitting position. This keeps their hips and spine in a natural, healthy position. Proper baby wearing supports your baby's nervous system, hip development, and overall comfort. At Bloom Chiropractic Co., we're here to help your baby thrive from day one. 💚

The perfect smoothie formula 🤍 If you want to eat healthier but mornings feel chaotic, smoothies are your answer. They're quick, customizable, and an easy way to pack in nutrients. Here's the formula for building a balanced smoothie every time: 1.5 cups unsweetened liquid (water, coconut water, almond milk, oat milk, or any nut/seed milk), a thickener like 1 frozen banana, 1/2 avocado, 1/2 cup frozen mango, 1/4 cup oats, or ice, 1-2 big handfuls of leafy greens (spinach, kale, mixed greens—trust me, you won't taste them), 1 cup frozen fruit (berries, mango, peach, pineapple, cherries), 1 tablespoon of superfoods (chia seeds, flax seeds, h**p seeds, cacao, nut butter, or protein powder), and optional flavor boosters like cinnamon, dates, ginger, honey, or vanilla. This gives you healthy fats, fiber, protein, and antioxidants in one glass. When you're nourishing your body with real food, you're supporting your nervous system, reducing inflammation, and giving yourself sustained energy throughout the day. You don't have to make it complicated—just blend and go. 🌸

Delicious meal ideas for your whole family 🤍 If dinnertime feels like a daily source of stress, you're not alone. Between work, kids, and everything else, figuring out what to cook can feel overwhelming. Here are two easy, family-friendly meals to help you have a stress-free week ahead: Sheet pan lemon herb chicken with roasted vegetables (everything goes on one pan—toss with olive oil, garlic, lemon, and fresh herbs, then bake), and grass-fed beef stir-fry with broccoli, bell peppers, snap peas, and coconut aminos over cauliflower rice (quick, high-protein, and delicious). Both are simple to prepare, packed with whole foods, and family-approved. When you're nourishing your family with real food, you're supporting their nervous systems, reducing inflammation, and giving their bodies what they need to function well. You don't have to be perfect—just start with a few simple, healthy meals and build from there. 🌸
