Happy Speech-Language-Hearing Month!

TPE is now offering FREE virtual speech, language, and dyslexia/literacy screenings for children ages 3 - 15 through the end of June! *Screenings are available for Iowa residents only*

The screening areas depend on your child’s age and may include:
- Speech sounds (how your child talks)
- Language skills (understanding and using words)
- Early reading and dyslexia risk skills

Screening focus:
Pre-K to Kindergarten: Speech and Language risk factors
1st Grade and Up: Literacy/Dyslexia risk factors, Speech and Language risk factors

Screenings are completed virtually through Zoom and include written feedback and recommendations emailed the same day.

Artists like Billie Eilish remind us that success doesn’t come from fitting into one path. It comes from embracing who you are and how you think. Creativity, perspective, and individuality can open doors that traditional approaches never could.

Some of the brightest minds simply learn differently.

Growing up, Tim Tebow struggled with dyslexia and found reading difficult in school. With support, determination, and the right strategies, he learned how to overcome those challenges and pursue his dreams.

Tebow went on to become a Heisman Trophy winner, an NFL quarterback, and even played professional baseball — proving that learning differences do not define a person’s potential.

At True Potential Education Speech Therapy and Dyslexia, we believe every child can succeed when they receive the right support and encouragement.

Albert Einstein changed the way the world understands space, time, and the universe itself. But as a student, he struggled in traditional classrooms and learned differently than many of his peers.

Einstein’s story reminds us that intelligence doesn’t look the same for everyone. Some of the most innovative minds in history simply think in ways the traditional classroom wasn’t designed for.

Today we’re launching a new series called Different Thinkers. Each week, we’ll highlight well-known individuals who have faced learning challenges and found their own path to success.

Our first spotlight is on Tom Holland.

He has shared that reading and learning didn’t always come easily to him. With support, perseverance, and confidence, he developed strategies that worked for him — and went on to build an extraordinary career on the world stage.

Different learners can become leaders, creators, innovators, and change-makers.
