County Seat Laundry - Viroqua has a free pantry for those in need, and they also carry Narcan. We thank them for their generosity and caring for our community!

Community—you are wonderful. (Of course we already knew that.) Look at the full shelves of our Personal Care Corner. It seems that every time we get a little low on things, someone walks in with things to share. That happened twice this week, back to back. Thank you.

If you have toiletries to donate, or even cleaning supplies, please drop them off anytime. Opened items are fine as long as they’re still useable.

And if you want to shop the shelves, our hours are 5 am till 10 pm every day. You do not need to do laundry while you’re here. Just come in! Also, help yourself to books on our little free bookshelf.

Our newest ad running on Snapchat. We target teens and young adults with important messages that can save their lives. There is a HUGE amount of teens that still don’t know about the dangers of tainted pills, and these pills can be bought off of social media platforms very easily. Share and save a life.

New word of the day: Medetomidine. What is it? Medetomidine vs. xylazine:

Medetomidine and xylazine are quite similar but have some differences. Both drugs are alpha-2 adrenergic agonists, (2) which are used for sedation, analgesia, and muscle relaxation, primarily in veterinary medicine (3). Here are some differences:

• Medetomidine is a stronger and longer-lasting sedative and pain reliever compared to xylazine.
• Xylazine is less effective and less potent than medetomidine.
• Medetomidine causes more cardiovascular depression than xylazine.
• Xylazine also causes cardiovascular depression, but to a lesser extent than medetomidine.
• Medetomidine is often mixed with fentanyl by chemists working for cartels to enhance its properties.

Save the date! We are going in a different direction this year for our Remembrance Walk. We will have food (most likely food trucks) this year…stay tuned...and we are meeting on a Saturday so more people can make it. We will walk on the C**n Valley walking trail around the creek…and it will be just beautiful.
There will be more time for meaningful connection, and we ask that everyone bring their lost loved one’s favorite dessert to share after the Walk.
This year there will be more time to talk to each other, more time to share and more time to connect with one another as we remember them. ❤️❤️❤️

We remember and honor all those who lost their lives while serving. Amara’s great-great uncle Selmer Lee lost his life by stepping on a land mine in the Battle of Chateau Thierry in France in 1918, during WWI. He was a young man from C**n Valley who had a promising and fulfilling life ahead of him.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day, and never forget why we observe it.

Mama Heidi found this on Amazon and ordered it right away. It hit a soft spot in her heart because she imagined Mari passing away on that apartment floor and waking up in the arms of Jesus. Just imagine!!!
He wiped every tear from her eyes. For her, there was no more crying or pain or feelings of hopelessness and shame.
To know she is free is such a wonderful, beautiful feeling!
