It was an amazing 2 days of learning, connecting with friends old and new, and having a renewed zest for school nutrition! I’m looking forward to taking this back to the schools I consult for. This was my second time hearing Joe Pettit and it was even better than the first time I saw him speak 4 years ago. Well done, School Nutrition Association of Connecticut (SNACT)!!!

So true! Did you know the school nutrition staff is the only group who sees every single student every single day? They know your kids’ names, families, and stories. Shoutout to the Lunch Ladies and Food Dudes pouring the love that nourishes our kids each day!

I love continuing education almost as much as I love school nutrition! I’m taking it to the next level this time, though…..instead of ServSafe Manager recertification I took the exam version to become an instructor. I’ll know next week but send me some good vibes anyway! 🤞🤞🤞

My 3rd grader’s favorite meal is tacos. It’s a fridge clean out night and we only have tortilla chips so I’m making nachos for dinner. I thought he would be thrilled. He just looked me straight in the eye and told me he will only eat the ground beef tacos at school because they’re real and the best. Y’all. I cannot with this child.
