So day 3 of my guest room makeover was “challenging” to say the least! Who the heck writes the instructions on these things we have to build? I got it mostly done, except when it came to putting the tracks on the drawers, I couldn’t get it to work! So I left that by the wayside and got to painting, which I’m actually pretty good at!

After three coats, I was ready to hang some curtains to add some color and put the bedding on the bed.

As for the TV stand, two days later, my awesome hubby and I took the whole thing apart and put it back together from scratch. 🤪 Thank God someone in this house is able to read Sanskrit and likes puzzles. 🧩

Day Two of our guest room make over was kind of a success… the paint did NOT indeed match. 🤪 But I did find the correct paint color in the garage. After painting three coats the affected walls, I realized how gross and dingy the door and door jam looked. So guess what I did on day 3? 😂

𝗕𝗘𝗗𝗥𝗢𝗢𝗠/𝗚𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗢𝗠 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟭:

So this is how this room started…Messy and unorganized since my daughter moved out and quite frankly, a dumping ground for “stuff”. 🫣

My plan is to rearrange the space, add some paint, curtains, and add in some items we already had in the house. I want it to feel warm and inviting and also be functional. I definitely don’t want to spend a lot of money, so I’ll be searching my garage for things that are still in there from our remodel last year.

And yeah… I still need to get those pics and videos up here. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Happy Earth Day! 🌎🌿

We had such a wonderful time at the Old Mission Santa Barbara last weekend. The gardens, architecture, and rich history were absolutely amazing. I’ve visited Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside before, but it’s been years—so now I’ve made it my new mission to visit all of the California Missions! 😊⛪️✨

History: Mission Santa Barbara, founded in 1786, is one of California’s most iconic Spanish missions 🌿⛪️ Known as the “Queen of the Missions,” it’s famous for its beautiful architecture and twin bell towers. It played a major role in early California history and is still an active church and museum today. ✨

Last November I escaped on the most fun girls trip to Big Bear Lake and honestly… I’m still smiling from all the fun we had! 🏔️✨

We shopped, ate like queens, and wrapped up each night in our adorable little condo with snacks, laughs, and a few very responsible adult beverages. 🍷😉

Since we stayed just outside Big Bear Village, we became pros at navigating the free trolley (which runs 6:30am–9:30pm). Nothing bonds a group of women like figuring out public transportation, freezing our butts off, in cute boots. We also walked… A LOT! And in the rain! ☔️ 😂

The Village is packed with the cutest boutiques and souvenir shops, tons of restaurants, live music, dancing — and yes, even a bowling alley. But the highlight? Karaoke night at Murray’s Saloon & Eatery. Slight dive bar energy… but make it classy. 🤣🎤

I cannot wait to go back. Turns out Big Bear is way more than just skiing — and I’m ready for round two. 💕

🚨 Hidden Gem Alert! 🚨

If you’re in North County and love a good bottle of anything, you need to check out Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido. It’s truly a one-stop shop for beer, wine, and liquor.

We first discovered this spot years ago when we lived in Escondido. I was on the hunt for a good bottle of whiskey for a friend’s birthday (knowing absolutely nothing about whiskey 😅). Someone recommended we try Holiday Wine Cellar, and I was blown away. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helped me find the perfect bottle—right in the price range I had in mind. Total lifesavers.

And you guys… this place is HUGE. The main floor is packed with an incredible wine selection, tons of craft beer, and pretty much every spirit you can think of. They even have the cutest hostess gifts and all the fun extras—wine openers, cocktail shakers, wine charms, you name it.

Head toward the back and you’ll find a spiral staircase leading down to their wine cellar. The variety down there is unreal. They also host small parties and get-togethers in that space, which is such a fun idea.

But my favorite part? The self-serve wine tasting station downstairs. 🍷 You load a card with funds and can pour as little as a taste or as much as a full glass. It makes trying new wines so easy (and so fun).

If you’re shopping for a beer, wine, or liquor lover—or just want expert recommendations for yourself—this is your spot.

Hey IG friends! As per usual, December got away from me and I disappeared! 👻 December is always so busy with the holidays, birthday’s traveling, and company coming in to celebrate!

This year, we made a trip to Arizona for NYE and to celebrate my SIL’s birthday. Did I mention how much I love Gilbert AZ? 😍

Anyway, I’m back and committed to posting more in 2026, including what I’m anticipating to be my awkward face on some reels on a monthly basis, and also sharing some of my favorite Amazon finds!
