As Hospital Week comes to a close, we want to give one final salute to the incredible employees who make Ivy Creek Healthcare so special. What a fantastic week it has been — filled with laughter, team spirit, appreciation, and moments that reminded us just how blessed we are to work alongside such dedicated people every day.

Today, employees were treated to delicious hot pizza, parmesan bites, and mouthwatering brownies, all compliments of the Kelly Fitzpatrick Center for the Arts right here in Wetumpka. We are so thankful for the support from our community partners who helped make this week extra special for our staff.

Hospital Week may be over, but our appreciation for the hardworking men and women of Ivy Creek Healthcare continues every single day. Thank you for your compassion, your long hours, your servant hearts, and the care you provide to our communities.

One final salute to our healthcare heroes… and until next year, thank you for making excellence look easy.

Day four of Hospital Week and the fun is still going strong! 🌴☀️

A huge shoutout to Pro Health for spending the day cooking outdoors and serving up delicious hamburgers and hotdogs for our employees. We are so thankful for the community partners who continue to help us celebrate the incredible people who make Ivy Creek Healthcare what it is every single day.

The team spirit was alive and well as employees enjoyed outdoor games and plenty of laughs, with the highlight of the day being “Slip Happens!” 🦆💦

Sawyer Pyle set up quite the obstacle course as employees slip-slid their way down the giant hospital hill, splashed into the duck pond to retrieve a duck, and raced their way back up. Fun was truly had by all!

Hospital Week is about more than games and food — it’s a time to celebrate the hardworking employees who give so much of themselves to our patients and community every day. ❤️

⚓❤️ One of the highlights of Hospital Week is always Awards Day at Elmore Community Hospital and throughout Ivy Creek Healthcare. ❤️⚓

Today, we had the privilege of recognizing some of the many hardworking individuals across our network who go above and beyond every single day. Many of these award recipients were nominated by their coworkers and department leaders — people who see firsthand the compassion, dedication, teamwork, and heart these employees pour into serving others.

The ceremony was truly special because we are surrounded by so many outstanding people who deserve recognition. But there was one award today that especially stood out — the Anchor Award. The Anchor Award represents someone who serves as a steady foundation for others — a leader who provides strength, vision, and stability through every challenge while continually guiding the organization forward.

The Anchor Award was awarded to our CEO and owner, Mr. Mike Bruce.

Anyone who knows Mike knows this honor could not have gone to a more deserving person. Mike doesn’t just lead a healthcare organization — he genuinely loves healthcare, loves this community, and constantly works behind the scenes to make a difference in the lives of others. He is always trying to find solutions, improve services, support employees, and make healthcare better for the people we serve.

What many people may not realize is how much he quietly gives back to the community without ever asking for recognition.

Mike provides a building free of charge for Ivy’s Closet, a resource that helps foster families with clothing and necessities, and he even pays the utilities for the building. He has helped provide scholarships for nursing students and others pursuing education. During Thanksgiving, he helps provide blessing boxes for families in need. At Christmas, he partners with DHR to provide suitcases and necessities for foster children. He supports backpack initiatives for students returning to school and continually finds creative ways to help employees facing difficult times — and the list goes on and on.

Mike is also someone who always has a vision. He is constantly looking ahead, striving for the next right thing, and searching for ways to improve healthcare, strengthen the community, and create opportunities for others. Even after serving this community for a quarter of a century, we truly believe the best is yet to come.

That’s the kind of leadership that cannot be taught — a servant’s heart, a passion for people, and a genuine commitment to making our community stronger.

Today’s award was more than deserved, and we are incredibly thankful for the vision, generosity, and leadership Mike Bruce brings not only to Ivy Creek Healthcare, but to this entire community.

🌴☀️ Day Three of Hospital Week and things are still going strong at Elmore Community Hospital! ☀️🌴

Today was filled with great food, laughter, appreciation, and another reminder of how blessed we are to work in such a supportive community. Our employees continue to be celebrated all week long for the compassion, dedication, and excellence they pour into caring for others every single day.

A huge THANK YOU to Grumpy Dogs for providing a delicious lunch of sliders and pasta salad that our staff absolutely loved! 🍔🥗

And another special shout out to PNC Bank for sponsoring the afternoon snack and stopping by with thoughtful handouts and yummy chips for our team! 💙

It truly takes a community coming together to make Hospital Week special, and we are so grateful for every business, sponsor, volunteer, and supporter helping us recognize the incredible people behind Elmore Community Hospital and Ivy Creek Healthcare.

Hospital Week fun was in full swing this afternoon as our Marketing team sponsored a tropical snack break complete with colorful mocktails, beach music, laughter, and lots of employee fun! 🌴☀️🍹

Employees enjoyed cooling off with fun mocktails while showing off their creativity during our beach-themed costume contest. A few brave staff members even jumped into a hilarious dance-off that had everyone laughing and cheering along!

One of the best parts of Hospital Week is getting the chance to step away from the stress for a few moments and simply enjoy the people we work beside every day. Healthcare is hard work, and these moments of fun, teamwork, and fellowship remind us just how special our hospital family truly is.

Day 2 of Hospital Week has been another great day of celebrating the amazing employees who make Ivy Creek Healthcare so special!

A huge THANK YOU to our wonderful community partners, Faulkner University and Hog Rock, for helping take care of our team today with great food, fellowship, and support.

We are especially grateful for the fantastic partnership Ivy Creek Healthcare shares with Faulkner University. Their team spent time with our employees today sharing information, giveaways, and discussing the opportunities that come through this valued partnership. Relationships like these help strengthen not only our workforce, but the future of healthcare in our communities.

And of course… Hog Rock did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious and greatly appreciated by our staff.

Hospital Week is one special week each year where we pause to recognize the hardworking people behind the scenes and on the front lines who serve our communities every single day. Thank you to everyone helping us celebrate them this week!

🏴‍☠️☀️ Every beach has a few pirates… and apparently Elmore Community Hospital does too! ☀️🏴‍☠️

Today our hospital was taken over by a little “pirate treasure hunt” during Hospital Week as more than 200 gold coins were hidden throughout the hospital for employees to find!

From nurses’ stations to hallways and hidden little corners, staff members spent part of their day searching for pirate loot and cashing in their coins for fun prizes like beach balls, popcorn, handheld fans, sunglasses, and other sunny surprises. 🪙🌴😎

Sometimes it’s the little moments of laughter, teamwork, and fun that remind us how special our hospital family truly is. Our employees work hard every single day caring for this community, and Hospital Week is one small way to celebrate THEM and all they do.
