Moments like these are why I decided recently that Build The Talk will only be offered in person, retreat-style.

Because building your keynote signature talk deserves more than your spare time.

It deserves your full attention. Space away from the distractions of everyday life. Thoughtful coaching. And collaboration with other brilliant women who are building right alongside you.

This fall, six women will head to the Poconos for three nights and two full days of Build The Talk.

We’ll write. We’ll workshop. We’ll practice. We’ll give feedback. We’ll probably laugh a lot. And yes, there will absolutely be time for the hot tub.

And at the end of it, you’ll leave with something you came there to create: your 20-minute signature talk.

We’re already half full.

Imagine your message coming to life.

If this sounds like exactly what you need, I'd love to connect. .fearless

Stop waiting to feel confident enough.

Make the decision first.

Decide who you want to be, then ask:

What would the version of me who already has this do next?

Do that.

The confidence will catch up.

I’m often asked how I started She’s Got The Mic Speakers Collective.

And I always give the same answer:

By accident.

And sometimes, the best ideas start that way.

I didn’t have a big business plan. I wasn’t setting out to build a community or run events every month.

I just had a gut feeling that something like this needed to exist.

A place where women could take the mic, practice their craft, share their ideas, make real connections, and have people in the room genuinely rooting for them.

So I followed that feeling.

And somehow, here we are.

This community has been the best accident. And maybe the best reminder I’ve ever had to trust my gut when it tells me, this needs to exist in the world.

I’m so glad I listened.

We’ve been busy this summer. And I’m loving what this community is becoming.

Last month, our She’s Got The Mic Speakers Collective in-person experience took us to Blue Point, NY for high tea, where nine incredible women took the mic to share their stories, ideas, expertise, and voices.

But as much as I love watching our members take the stage, it’s what happens around the stage that gets me every time.

The conversations. The connections. The women cheering for each other. The relationships that keep growing long after the event is over.

Because speaking can open doors. But having the right women in the room with you makes the whole journey a lot more fun.

If you’re a woman entrepreneur who is craving real connection with incredible women AND consistent opportunities to take the mic, I’d love to connect.

We have a lot more coming this fall.

Last week, something special happened.

I hosted the very first Build The Talk Retreat.

For two days, incredible women stepped away from the constant demands of life and business and gave themselves permission to think deeply about one question:

What is the message I'm meant to share?

Together, we built keynote talks from the ground up. We answered the essential questions:

Who is my talk for?

What problem does it solve?

We discovered stories that had been there all along simply by saying them out loud, stumbling through them, and paying attention to what resonated.

But the biggest transformation didn't happen because of the framework.

It happened because a room full of incredible women were willing to sit together, ask hard questions, give honest feedback, and believe in one another before they fully believed in themselves.

That's something a workbook alone can't do.

And it's certainly not something that happens when you're sitting alone in front of your computer wondering if your ideas are "interesting enough."

That's exactly why I designed Build The Talk as a live, collaborative experience.

We found clarity by celebrating every breakthrough, supporting one another through moments of uncertainty, and giving ourselves permission to stumble through ideas in a beautifully messy way. That process gave each woman the courage to own her ideas, trust her voice, and say them out loud.

Every attendee left with a completely different talk than the one she thought she was going to create.

That's the magic of collaboration.

It was transformational, and exactly why I created Build The Talk.

This October, we're doing it again in the Catskill Mountains of New York.

If you've been carrying stories, ideas, and expertise around in your head, knowing you have something important to say but wondering how it all fits together...

I'd love to help you build the talk.

I spent years waiting to feel ready.

Then I realized something.

My intuition had been ready long before my confidence was.

That quiet voice saying,
"You should share this."
"You have something to say."
"Someone needs to hear your story."
..was never asking permission from confidence.

It was asking for courage.

Every stage reminds me of that.

The goal isn't to eliminate the nerves.

It's to trust yourself enough to speak anyway.

You don't become a speaker by thinking about speaking.

You become a speaker by taking the mic.

That's exactly why I created She's Got The Mic Speakers Collective.

When I founded She's Got the Mic Speakers Collective, I thought I was creating more opportunities for women to speak.

What I didn't realize was what a privilege it would be to hand the mic to so many incredible women.

Every time someone steps onto our stage, something shifts. Confidence grows. Stories are shared. Businesses expand. Friendships are built.

Every woman brings a different story, a different perspective, and a voice worth hearing.

Creating more spaces where women are seen, heard, and celebrated never goes out of style.

06/26/2026

This is one of my favorite moments of every event.

Right before our speakers walk on stage, I remind them that they're in the most supportive room they could possibly be in.

No one is expecting perfection.

We're here to cheer each other on, celebrate the courage it takes to show up, and receive the message each woman came to share.

That's why I created She's Got The Mic Speakers Collective.

A place where women don't just dream about speaking someday. They step onto real stages, grow their confidence through experience, and use their voice to grow their impact and their business.

Because sometimes, all it takes is someone to hand them the mic.
