💙💚 The Rhoads to Healthy 💚💙

Let’s talk about AuDHD (Autism + ADHD) 🧩✨

Sometimes people say:
“But you don’t look autistic.”
“You seem fine.”
“You’re just sensitive.”
“You’re overthinking.”

The truth? Many people spend years feeling different before realizing there may have been more happening beneath the surface.

AuDHD isn’t “new.”
For many people, it wasn’t absent — it was simply missed, misunderstood, masked, or mislabeled.

✨ Craving connection but feeling overwhelmed
✨ Wanting routine but struggling to maintain it
✨ Hyperfocusing one day and losing interest the next
✨ Emotional overwhelm
✨ Executive dysfunction mistaken for laziness
✨ Masking so well no one sees how hard things feel

What people see:
“High functioning”

What may actually be underneath:
💛 Exhaustion
💛 Constant effort
💛 Sensory overload
💛 Feeling misunderstood

You are not lazy.
You are not “too much.”
You are not broken.

Being neurodivergent does not mean something is wrong with you — it means your brain may process the world differently. And different does not mean less. 💚

The Hidden Push and Pull of AuDHD!

Living with AuDHD can feel like having two different instruction manuals running at the same time.

The Daily Reality!

You crave routine but get bored by it. You can hyperfocus for hours, then struggle to start a simple task. You notice tiny details others miss, yet forget basic things like eating, drinking water, or replying to a message.

What People Often Miss!

Behind the strong pattern recognition, deep empathy, and creativity is a constant balancing act. Sensory overload, decision fatigue, emotional intensity, and feeling misunderstood can make everyday life more exhausting than it appears.

A Different Way of Being!

AuDHD isn't a flaw to fix. It's a unique combination of strengths and challenges that often looks contradictory from the outside but makes perfect sense to the person living it.

If you've ever felt "too much" and "not enough" at the same time, you're not alone. Many AuDHD minds know that feeling well.

I.for one am grateful to the new mayor
If all.his choices are as good as this one perhaps fairness justice and competence may yet prevail in the Big Apple.

We are so easily fooled by our limited senses

Most of the universe is hidden from us — literally.
Scientists estimate that about 95% of all physical reality is invisible to human senses and even most instruments.

Our perception covers only a sliver of what exists: eyes detect light between 380 and 770 nanometers, and ears pick up sound from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Everything outside those ranges — ultraviolet, infrared, ultrasonic, infrasonic — moves around us constantly, unseen and unheard.

Think about it: radio waves pass through buildings, deep-sea whale calls travel for miles underwater, and neutrinos — subatomic particles born from stars — stream through your body by the trillions every second without leaving a trace.

Technology has helped expand our reach. Infrared cameras, ultrasonic sensors, and radio telescopes reveal parts of reality that our senses can’t grasp. But beyond all that, dark matter and dark energy — which together make up most of the cosmos — remain complete mysteries.

We live inside a tiny window of perception, surrounded by an ocean of existence we can’t see, hear, or touch… yet it’s all there, shaping the world around us.

Biking is the best

Fewer children than ever are out riding bicycles on their own—and with this decline, Erin Sagen reports, kids are losing more than a potential mode of transport. https://theatln.tc/N8hJrXdZ
