One thing I point out during many Gynecomastia consultations is that the two sides of the chest are often not perfectly identical before surgery.
One side may contain more glandular tissue, more fat, a different ni**le position, or a slightly different chest wall shape.
Because of those differences, I don't necessarily perform exactly the same amount of correction on both sides.
I evaluate each side individually and then consider how they relate to the patient's entire chest and upper body.
My goal is to improve overall balance and contour while being realistic about the natural asymmetries that are part of every person's anatomy.
