It's such a tragedy that someone has targeted our friends at M-Care Healthcare and Affirmative Care Essentials - ACE Foundation. They do such wonderful work for our community and to see something happen after a much deserved weekend off is heartbreaking.

We at Real Life Counseling want to let everyone know we stand in solidarity with our entire LGBTQIA+ community. In a world where visibility, safety, and rights are constantly challenged, our greatest strengths lie in our unity and love for each other. When any part of our community is targeted, it threatens us all.

You may recognize this delightful individual, Trinity!

We are back again to shout out the wonderful work she does for our community. Trinity likes to insure her clients know that any problem they may be experiencing is not their identity. She is passionate about create a space to explore the issues and develop the skills her clients already possess.

When Trinity isn't in the office, she loves to thrift, hang out with her cats, and do some sort of crafting. 😺🎨

Who's ready for summer? An exciting time for many children but for others, nutrition can become a major stressor. Good News! Free Summer Meals are back for kids and teens ages 1-18 through Wichita Public Schools! 😎🍎

Healthy and regular meals fuel brain development and stabilize blood sugar, which is critical for children's mood, focus, and emotional regulation. Establishing consistent, healthy eating habits and shared family meal times can also significantly reduce rates of depression, anxiety, and behavioral problems.

We've had some gloomy weather this last week with more to come. Did you know changes in weather is often linked to mood and behavioral changes?

Gloomy weather reduces sunlight which can lower an individuals serotonin levels. This can lead to symptoms of depression. Changes in weather can even heighten symptoms for people with certain mental and psychical health conditions.

Join us for Wellness Wednesdays at Safe Streets Wichita, Inc.

These weekly healing and multicultural circles are designed to restore connection, strengthen community, and support healing across generations in a welcoming and culturally rooted environment.

Activities may include acupressure, music, group singing, drumming, stretching, art, and dance.

Wednesdays | June 4 – August 5, 2026
6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
1200 E. Waterman St., Wichita, KS 67211

Accessible entrance available at the Waterman entrance.

Free to attend. Donations are always welcome and help support healing activities, supplies, snacks, water, and community programming.

Ellie is an outgoing, light-heated, and humorous individual that brings a comforting energy to every room she enters. During her sessions, she's assisted by her CGC-trained corgis, Harper or Herky. In her free time. she loves to play brain games, complete puzzles, and go on road trips! Ellie's motto for this year is "closed mouths don't get fed," which is to inspire and help people advocating for what they want, because the worst someone can say is "no."
