A word from our founder
Family,
Let me say this plainly — your health is not optional. I see too many brilliant, gifted, called, capable people running on empty. Especially our men. Especially our Black families. We celebrate strength, but we rarely celebrate slowing down.
June reminds us that freedom is not just something our ancestors fought for — it is something we maintain through how we live. Through what we eat. Through whether we go to the doctor. Through whether we talk about what’s heavy.
I want our fathers here.
I want our husbands here.
I want our sons here.
I want our women strong and supported.
And I want you well — not just busy.
So this month, choose one courageous action:
Schedule the appointment.
Have the hard conversation.
Show up at the park.
Tune into Marriage Encounters.
Listen to the radio broadcast.
But most of all — choose your health.
We are not just surviving 2026.
We are building legacy.
With purpose and conviction,
Dr. V

Don’t Wait Until It’s Loud
June continues our focus on whole-body wellness. We’re talking:
Men’s health
Heart health
Stress management
Prevention over crisis
As we approach Father’s Day, we’re putting a spotlight on men’s health. Too many men wait until something hurts before they act. Blood pressure. Prostate checks. Stress levels. Mental health. These are not “later” conversations.
If the men in your life are strong for everyone else, make sure someone is strong enough to encourage them to get checked.
Strength is not silence.
Leadership includes longevity.
Your Voice Matters: Breast & Lung Health Survey
We’re collecting real stories and real data about breast and lung health in our community — and we need more voices.
Why? Because data moves funding. Data moves policy. Data brings screenings and resources closer to us.
If you’ve ever delayed a mammogram
Had concerns about lung health…
Experienced barriers in healthcare…
Or simply care about protecting Black women and families…
Please complete the survey (https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=DQSIkWdsW0yxEjajBLZtrQAAAAAAAAAAAAN__r5Q7AlUOFU2UEdSMUowUlBDUjZORkZPWUZYUkVPUy4u&route=shorturl) .
It only takes a few minutes — but your input helps us advocate for better access, better education, and better outcomes. Don’t assume your story doesn’t matter.
It does. Take the survey. Share the link. Be part of the change.
