Today our School and Community Based Youth Prevention team is at various local schools teaching skills like emotional regulation, social intelligence, goal setting, decision making, and more. Last year we served over 2,000 students in our prevention groups.

Susan Gonzalez-Acevedo, one of our facilitators, is seen here with students at White Elementary, working alongside The Pando Initiative to help equip 4th and 5th graders with skills for their success.

Would you buy a ticket if it could help someone take their first real step toward healing?

Your $150 ticket can help make possible a safe place to talk, a caring person to listen and the support someone needs to believe that life can feel better.

It can help a family find somewhere to begin when they do not know where to turn. It can help someone find a community where they feel seen, supported and less alone.

Sometimes, it means reaching someone before a crisis. Training a teacher, parent, coworker or neighbor to recognize when a person may need help, sometimes before that person realizes it themselves.

That is the heart of the Beautiful Minds Gala. ๐Ÿ’™

Your ticket helps MHASCK create more opportunities for people to find safety, stability, connection and care. It helps ensure that when someone is ready to take that first step, there is a person, a place and a community ready to meet them.

And your ticket also includes an extraordinary evening: dinner by Georges French Bistro, specialty cocktails, live and silent auctions featuring travel and local experiences, special guest Kalen Allen, MHASCK CEO Mary Jones, and a room filled with people who believe mental health matters and are willing to show up for our community.

The food, drinks, auctions and entertainment may sound like the usual parts of a Gala. But they are not separate from the purpose. They bring people together, create connection and make it possible for more people throughout South Central Kansas to receive support, including some who may not yet know they will need it.

Mental health is not an abstract issue. It touches our families, friends, workplaces, neighborhoods and everyday lives.

It connects to you. It connects to me.

We hope you will join us. It is a really beautiful party and an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someoneโ€™s life.
