Lyla & Taelynn will be running the hut this week while I am away making dumplings at the Centre County Fair! They are also bringing the mascot back for some extra help behind the scenes and moving the hut around. These girls have worked hard all summer and are looking forward to serving solo all week long 🤍

The Food Farmacy Has Officially Launched! 🎉

Last week, we proudly celebrated the launch of our new Food Farmacy, a program designed to address food insecurity while helping patients improve their overall health, especially those managing chronic conditions such as diabetes.

We were honored to be joined at our ribbon-cutting by PA State Rep. Jamie Flick, PA State Rep. Joe Hamm, Mary Carroll of the AllOne Foundation, whose generous $100,000 Anniversary Grant helped turn this vision into reality, and Chelsea Johns, Public Health Program Manager for the Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers. Their support underscores the importance of addressing the connection between nutrition and health.

This program would not be possible without our incredible partnership with The New Love Center. We continue to be blown away by the commitment, passion, and support of their team. A special thank you to Holly Beaver, Executive Director, who demonstrates every day what true partnership looks like. We are proud to partner with The New Love Center and know that this program will have a lasting impact on the lives of many.

We're excited to share that our first distribution served more than 50 patients, sending them home with fresh produce, meats, dairy products, cereals, canned goods, and other nutritious staples. Beyond food, participants in The Food Farmacy will receive education, support, and resources to help them build healthy habits and make the most of the foods available to them.
