Today is a day filled with both tears and hope.
Five years ago today, we said goodbye to our beautiful Katie. There isn't a day that passes that we don't miss her smile, her strength, and the love she gave so freely.
Today, on the very anniversary of her passing, we received a gift that feels like Katie reminding us she is still walking this journey beside us.
The Wi******er Star shared the exciting news that Katie's Comfort House and Blue Ridge Care have officially signed a Letter of Intent to collaborate in bringing Katie's House to life.
What once began as a promise made through unimaginable grief is now becoming a reality because of an incredible community, faithful supporters, dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and partners who believe in this mission as much as we do.
While this date will always hold heartbreak, it now also carries hope.
Katie's legacy continues to grow, and soon families facing the unimaginable will have a place of comfort, compassion, and love because of her.
Thank you to everyone who has stood beside us over these past five years. Every prayer, every donation, every shared post, every volunteer hour, and every word of encouragement has helped bring us to this moment.
Katie, we hope you're smiling. This is for you. 💚🦋
Blue Ridge Care and Katie's Comfort House have joined forces to support and strengthen the work of both of the Wi******er-based nonprofits.
