Some ear conditions require a closer look than a routine office examination can provide. A CT Temporal Bone Scan gives your ENT a detailed view of the bones and structures of the middle and inner ear, helping evaluate the anatomy and identify abnormalities.

🔎 A temporal bone CT may be used to evaluate:

• Chronic or recurrent ear infections
• Conductive hearing loss
• Cholesteatoma

😴 Scheduled for a DISE? Here’s What to Expect!

A Drug-Induced Sleep Endoscopy (DISE) is a quick outpatient procedure that helps your provider understand what happens in your airway while you sleep.

During a DISE, you’ll receive medication to create a sleep-like state while a small flexible camera is used to gently examine your airway. This allows your provider to identify areas of blockage or collapse that may be contributing to sleep apnea.

After the procedure, your provider will review the findings and discuss the best treatment options for your individual needs.

🚨 Important Thyroid Medication Update: Levothyroxine Recall Information

You may have seen recent news about a recall involving certain levothyroxine sodium tablets. We want our thyroid patients to have the facts and know what steps to take.

✅ The recall only affects specific lots of levothyroxine — not all thyroid medications. The affected medications were identified as potentially subpotent, meaning they may not contain the full intended strength of medication.

What should you do?

🔹 Do not stop taking your thyroid medication unless instructed by your healthcare provider. Suddenly stopping levothyroxine can affect your thyroid hormone levels.
🔹 Check your medication bottle or contact your pharmacy to see if your prescription is from an affected lot.
🔹 If you have questions or are unsure, reach out to our office or your pharmacist for guidance.
