Don't wait until the night before the first day of school to fix it! Starting in late July, try shifting your child's bedtime and wake-up time earlier by just 15 minutes every few days. Their circadian rhythm will thank you, and those first early-morning school alarms won't be nearly as painful. ⏰

Can you believe it??? Back-to-school shopping is in full swing! 🎒 When picking out a new backpack, keep these Occupational Therapy tips in mind:

Look for wide, padded shoulder straps to prevent nerve pinching.

A backpack should never weigh more than 10-15% of your child’s body weight.

Make sure the bottom of the bag rests in the curve of the lower back, not sagging below the waist!

Proper ergonomics support better posture and attention in class.
