✊🏾 Social Action in Action!

The Social Action Co-Chairs of the Pitt County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. were proud to participate in the 10th Annual Back-to-School Event, sponsored by the Greenville Police Department and local barbers throughout Pitt County.

Our team was on the ground helping citizens check their voter registration status, update their information, and register to vote when needed. 🗳️❤️

A special thank-you to Reformed Cuts in Ayden, Young Visions, and Flyer Elite in Greenville for opening their doors and allowing us to engage with members of the community right where they are.

We also extend a heartfelt thank you to Richard Williams of the Greenville Police Department for helping make this important partnership possible.

We had planned to visit five barbershops, but we simply ran out of time! That won’t stop us. Our work continues. We look forward to strengthening this partnership and returning to the barbershops to:

🗳️ Encourage citizens to VOTE
📚 Provide voter education
✅ Check and update voter registration information
📣 Empower our community to make their voices heard

This is what Social Action looks like—meeting people where they are, building partnerships, and turning civic engagement into community action.

Delta Sigma Theta is proud to join the other Divine Nine organizations in launching
, a unified campaign in support of King100.

The Divine Nine is the first organizational partner to publicly launch King100, The King Center’s historic campaign honoring the 100th birthday of Coretta Scott King in 2027 and the 100th birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in 2029, while investing in the future of their work.

Honor Mrs. King and Dr. King, both members of the D9, with a symbolic gift of $19.30 in recognition of the National Pan-Hellenic Council’s founding in 1930. Together, we aim to mobilize at least 130,000 donors and raise more than $2.5 million for The King Center, demonstrating the collective power of the
Divine Nine.

The Pitt County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,Inc is excited to announce that the applications for the Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy and Delta G.E.M.S programs are now open for the 2026-2027 program year!

These dynamic programs are designed to empower young ladies through leadership development, academic achievement, community service, cultural enrichment, and personal growth.

Delta Academy: Ages 11-14 / Grades 6-8
Delta Gems: Ages 14-18 / Grades 9-12
