We grow up believing
getting pregnant is simple.

Something that just happens.
When the time is right.

Of course it will happen.
When we decide.
Rest easy.

It becomes something we trust.
Something we bank on.

No need to think about it.

That’s the story we’re given.
Our fertility is natural.
Mind and body in sync.

Something goes wrong?
There will be help.
Doctors will know.
There will be answers.
A plan.
A next step.
Nothing to worry about.

We don’t expect complications
To take over our lives.
For it to hurt.

That 1 in 6 isn’t about us.

Here on Creating Two Pink Lines, we talk about the parts of the journey that often go unseen:
the pressure, the fear, the timelines, the grief, the identity shifts, the shame scripts, and the longing that sits beneath all of it.
This is a space to learn, to breathe, and to understand your experiences through a trauma-aware, compassion-focused lens.
If you’ve ever felt “I shouldn’t feel this way,” I want you to know: your feelings make sense. Every single one.
