💙 A New Chapter for Little Hops 💙

One of the biggest things I’ve learned while working with children and families over the years is that support needs often extend far beyond traditional therapy sessions alone.

Families are navigating school concerns, routines, emotional regulation, communication challenges, IEP meetings, transitions, and everyday stress while trying to figure out the best next steps for their child. Many caregivers simply want someone who understands both child development and the real-life challenges families face day-to-day.

Because of that, I’m incredibly excited to officially introduce Little Hops School & Family Support Services — a new branch of Little Hops designed to provide compassionate, collaborative, and practical support for children and caregivers across home, school, and community environments.

These services include:
💙 Parent coaching & caregiver consultation
💙 School support consultation
💙 IEP consultation support
💙 Transition support services
💙 Home-school collaboration support

Little Hops will continue offering assent-informed ABA Therapy Services as well, and I’m so excited to continue growing services that help children and families feel more supported, confident, connected, and empowered along the way.

Hi everyone! I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself in a more official way. 💛

I’m Bobbi Jean “Bunni” Oakes, M.Ed, BCBA, LBA, Founder and Clinical Director of Little Hops ABA Therapy, LLC. 🐰✨

I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a passion for supporting children with autism and their families through compassionate, assent-based, and play-centered care. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with so many incredible children and families, and those experiences are what inspired me to create Little Hops.

Little Hops was built on the belief that therapy should feel safe, meaningful, and even joyful. I focus on helping children build communication, independence, and functional life skills in a way that respects their voice and meets them where they are.

We’ll be providing in-home and telehealth ABA services in Woodbridge, Virginia (Prince William County) and surrounding areas, and I’m so excited to begin connecting with families in the community.

Meet the Face Behind the Hops 🐰

Hi, I’m Bobbi “Bunni” Oakes, MEd, BCBA, LBA—the founder and clinical heart behind Little Hops ABA Therapy.

Little Hops was created from a simple but powerful belief:
Kids learn best when they feel safe, respected, and genuinely connected.

After years in the ABA field, I knew I wanted to build something different—
a practice rooted in assent-based care, play, collaboration, and real-life skills that matter to families. Not checklists for the sake of billing. Not “one-size-fits-all” programs. But thoughtful, individualized support that honors each child’s voice and pace.

At Little Hops, we focus on:
• Play-based, relationship-centered ABA
• Supporting communication and functional independence
• Empowering caregivers as true partners
• Creating a supportive, ethical environment for both families and practitioners

We’re currently providing in-home and telehealth services while working toward a bigger vision: a collaborative, multidisciplinary space where families can access high-quality, compassionate care under one roof.
