Congratulations to our senior director of philanthropy and external affairs, Jess Null, for being named a Providence Business News 2026 40 Under 40 honoree! Jess’s work at Thundermist ensures we can continue to deliver high-quality medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare to our more than 65,000 patients regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. Her collaborative work across departments at Thundermist along with community partners, funders, donors, and stakeholders is vital We’re grateful for all she does.

PBN chooses honorees based on their career success and involvement within their communities. The winners this year work across many sectors, including nonprofit, education, pharmaceutical, legal, construction, manufacturing, finance, government, hospitality, and healthcare. Congrats to them all!

Tomorrow is the last Wednesday of Mental Health Awareness Month--and the last Wednesday on which you can make a donation at Belmont Market in Wakefield that supports or behavioral health services. When you shop at Belmont and make a gift to Thundermist, you will be ensuring people can access mental health care with us, regardless of their ability to pay or their insurance status. With the holiday weekend upon us, it's a great time to remind you that our Convenient Care walk-in clinics are open Saturday, Sunday, and Memorial Day 9 a.m.-5 p.m. just in case you need us! Convenient Care is a great option for things like sinus infections, tick bites, an ear ache or sore throat, and more. You can see more on the Convenient Care page of our website. As always, we recommend arriving early, as wait times can increase throughout the day. Have a safe and happy weekend!

Save the dates! The RI Department of Human Services is hosting two customer-focused webinars June 16 and 17 as part of the Staying Informed Webinar Series, which helps people navigate the application and eligibility process.

The series is comprised of two areas: One is on the DHS-2 application and benefit decision notices, where participants gain an understanding on the best way to navigate through the application process. The second is on understanding benefit notices.

Topics covered will include:
• Paperwork and verifications needed when applying for benefits
• Understanding benefit notices and what they mean
• Customer rights and responsibilities
• The appeal and hearing process
• Important SNAP policy and eligibility updates

Two more Wednesdays this month to shop at Belmont Market in Wakefield, where your purchases help support access to behavioral health services for Thundermist patients in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month!

Belmont Market is in Wakefield just down the road from our South County health center. Your contributions on Wednesdays this month ensure we can continue to provide services to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay or insurance status.

You can also stop by the market's gift basket department tomorrow, May 20, 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. to learn more about behavioral health and enjoy conversations with professionals and others in the community.
