Thundermist Health Center is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center, serving more than 58,000 patients in three Rhode Island communities:

Thank you to Neighborhood Health Plan of RI for supporting the first-ever clinical quality day at Thundermist Health Center of Woonsocket.

This event helped Neighborhood members to stay up to date with their health care screenings. Patients also stopped to visit the NHPRI team who helped them access helpful resources.

Last call for our West Warwick baby shower! It happens tomorrow at our medical center at 186 Providence Street in West Warwick, 2:30-4:30 p.m.

Expectant parents who come will receive a goodie bag, enjoy light refreshments, and have a chance to meet and talk with some of our providers and social services staff, as well as many different community partners for support, resources, and giveaways. In addition, those who come can enter to win raffle prizes, including a baby monitor, crib, and car seat/stroller combo!

Some adults on Medicaid in Rhode Island will have to meet new federal work requirements starting in January. These upcoming changes may affect your coverage.

That's why we are pleased to host a free community information session at our West Warwick and Woonsocket medical centers on November 17 to answer quesitons about the changes and who they will affect. A big thank you to the RI Health Center Association for making this possible.

Don't forget: We are hosting an event at our South County health center next Thursday, October 29, to discuss the proposed University of Rhode Island Medical School and what it could mean for the future of healthcare in South County. The panel speaking that evening includes Aaron Robinson, MBA, president & CEO of South County Health; Marc Parlange, PhD, president of URI; and our president and CEO, Chuck Jones.

Hosted by the South Kingstown Workgroup of Primary Care for All Americans, this event will bring local healthcare and university leaders together to share perspectives, answer your questions and concerns, and discuss what this proposal could mean for our community.

Our exam rooms in Woonsocket are getting a beautiful addition thanks to local photographer and Thundermist patient John Repoza!

Yesterday John donated 10 more of his beautiful framed photographs to Thundermist, adding to the many pieces he's generously shared with us over the past year. His photography brings a personal touch to our space and helps create a more welcoming environment for our patients.
