Sometimes the sweetest moments are some of the simplest ones!

Our residents had a wonderful time enjoying freshly spun cotton candy—complete with plenty of smiles, sticky fingers, and a little bit of childhood nostalgia. There’s just something about that fluffy, sugary treat that brings out the kid in all of us!

When it came time for our Cedar Campus to vote for Employee of the Year, the choice had to be Destiney!

Destiney is the kind of coworker everyone wants on their team. As a nightshift STNA, she works hard, shows up when she is needed, and is always willing to step in and help. She is dependable, hardworking, and someone her coworkers know they can always count on.

The care Destiney has for our residents is easy to see. She brings kindness, patience, and compassion to every shift and never loses sight of the fact that while Cedar is her workplace, it is our residents’ home. She does her part each night to make that home a place where they feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely cared for.

Being chosen by the people who work alongside you says a lot, and we think our Cedar team made a pretty great choice.

National Cherry Popsicle Day was pretty sweet!

On Wednesday, Cedar Hill and Sterling Suites Director of Community Engagement Brittany and Sterling Suites Resident Care Coordinator Gabby headed to Kidzville Park to celebrate National Cherry Popsicle Day by handing out free popsicles to families in our community.

From smiling children and adults enjoying the fun to a four-legged visitor who could not resist a cool treat, it was a wonderful day to get outside, meet our neighbors, and share a little bit of sweetness. Gabby even took a turn on the swings and brought out her inner kid!

At Cedar Hill and Sterling Suites, we love finding fun ways to connect with the people who make our community such a wonderful place to call home.

Thank you to the City of Zanesville - City Hall for allowing us to use the shelter house. We also appreciate everyone who stopped by to see us and share in the fun, we hope your day was as sweet as ours!

As September quickly approaches, we turn our focus to helping support some great causes with ongoing raffles and other featured events at our community.

Congratulations to our wonderful housekeeper, Amirah, one of the lucky winners of our School Supply Basket Raffle!

We raffled off baskets packed with school supplies to raise money for two causes very dear to our hearts—our wonderful Activities Department and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and helped support both! And congratulations, Amirah—we hope you enjoy your basket!

Nothing beats a day at the fair!

This week our Cedar Hill and Sterling Suites Senior Living residents traded their usual routine for sunshine, fair food, shopping, and plenty of fun at the Muskingum County Fair!

There were smiles everywhere we looked, a few must-have fair treats along the way, and lots of laughs shared with friends. Days like this are exactly what outings are all about—getting out, having fun, and making memories together!

A huge thank you to our friends at Brookfield Counseling and Recovery for accompanying us and driving the bus for our adventure, and to our friends at Community Resource Alliance for providing sack lunches for our residents to enjoy. We’re thankful to have such wonderful friends in our community!

Here at Cedar Hill, we love a good reason to celebrate, and Tyler gave us one!

Tyler recently set a goal for himself and achieved it, so obviously we had to celebrate with some delicious cupcakes! A goal reached is always worth making a big deal about, and we loved getting to recognize his accomplishment. And what’s a celebration without friends? Some of Tyler’s fellow residents joined in to cheer him on and, of course, help with the cupcakes!

Way to go, Tyler! We’re so proud of you!

Cedar Hill residents won't let the storms bring down our summer vibes!

Residents on our Connections Unit brought a little bit of the beach inside today! They spent some time painting and putting together these beach-themed door hangers, complete with seashells and plenty of their own personal touches.

No sand between our toes required for this beach day!
