Last night, nearly 20 women gathered under the open sky, with the ocean as our backdrop and the moon bearing witness.
Moonlight and Merlot wasn’t just a meet-up. It was a moment. A space of honesty, wisdom, release, and restoration.
We talked about stress; not just the feeling, but the cost. The physical toll. The reality that stress, when left unchecked, will break us down from the inside out. Our elders spoke powerful truths, how stress has shown up in their bodies, how it became illness, how it changed the course of their lives. And how they persevered. And our younger sisters listened, reflected, and shared their stories too.
We talked about anxiety, about carrying the invisible weight that so many of us feel every day. We named the burdens. The pressure. The exhaustion of holding it all, all the time.
And then, we talked about release.
We talked about what it means to let go of what was never ours.
To stop performing strength and start practicing rest.
To remove the cape—because being superwoman is not sustainable, and it's not a badge we need to keep wearing.
We honored the truth that being everything to everyone often costs us our own well-being. And we reminded each other that we don’t have to do it alone. That it’s okay to ask for help. To be supported. To be poured into.
What made the night even more special was the mix of generations; the shared wisdom, the shared laughter, the knowing nods across age and experience. This is the power of safe, intentional spaces. This is the magic of women coming together without pretense; just truth, openness, and a willingness to grow.
To every woman who came out:
🙏🏾Thank you.
🙏🏾Thank you for your presence.
🙏🏾Thank you for your vulnerability.
🙏🏾Thank you for making the space sacred by simply being you.
And a very special thank you to B NaturallyStunning Wade RN, who served as co-host and helped make this evening so meaningful. Your warmth, wisdom, and presence grounded the space in love and connection. I am deeply grateful.
These kinds of gatherings matter.
🎺We need spaces where we can speak freely, breathe deeply, and release, share and remember that our stories hold power and our healing is possible.
🎺Where we don’t have to explain ourselves.
🎺Where we are seen, heard, and held.
We’ll gather again soon. When we do, come as you are—no masks, no capes, no pressure. Just you.
We’ll be waiting. Under the moonlight. W**e in hand and with open hearts.
