#제작중생각 : "100ml 향수가 이 가격이라고? (실화냐...)"
여러분, 저 최근에 온라인 마켓에서 말도 안 되는 가격의 100ml 향수를 하나 사봤습니다. 호기심이 고양이를 잡는다고 하죠? 제 지갑도 살짝 잡힐 뻔했네요. 사진 보시면 아시겠지만, 가격이 똑같습니다. 100ml 향수 = 10ml 향수 가격?? 저희 가게에서 파는 10ml 한 병 가격으로 10배 용량인 100ml를 살 수 있다는 얘기죠.
순간 '와, 난 왜 이 고생을 하며 향을 만들고 있지?' 현타가 오기도 하고, '이 가격에 어떻게 살아남았지?' 싶을 정도로 가성비는 정말 우주 최강급이었어요. 패키징, 디자인, 심지어 병 퀄리티까지 오리지널이랑 구분이 안 될 정도더라고요. 하.지.만! 향은... 음... (침묵) 아주 많이 달랐습니다.
물론 모든 온라인 마켓이 가짜를 파는 건 아니겠지만, 굳이 제가 설명드리지 않아도 우리 똑똑한 고객님들이 먼저 아실 거라 믿어요. 사실 작년에 제가 좋아하던 니치 퍼퓸 브랜드가 하노이 비즈니스를 철수한다는 소식을 듣고 마음이 참 안 좋았습니다. 저도 늘 걱정이 앞서지만, 그래도 단골분들이 늘어나는 걸 보며 더 열심히 해야겠다고 다짐해요.
참, 온라인 판매 제안 주시는 분들께는 감사하지만 저는 오프라인 매장을 고집하려 합니다. 1인 운영이다 보니 온라인은 사후 관리(AS)가 불가능하거든요. 매장에 직접 오셔서 향도 맡아보시고, 꼼꼼히 확인하고 구매하시는 걸 추천드려요. 저랑 수다도 떨고요! 작년 한 해 사랑해 주셔서 감사합니다. 올해도 좋은 향기로 찾아뵐게요!
: "A 100ml perfume for this price? Is this for real?"
Recently, I bought a 100ml perfume from an online marketplace at an unbelievably low price. They say curiosity killed the cat—well, it almost killed my wallet too! As you can see in the photos, the prices are the same. 100ml perfume = 10ml perfume price?? It means you can buy 10 times the volume for the price of one 10ml bottle at my shop.
For a moment, I had a bit of an existential crisis: "Why am I working so hard to create scents?" and "How did they manage to survive at this price?" The cost-efficiency was truly top-tier. Even the packaging, design, and bottle quality were nearly identical to the originals. HOWEVER! The scent... well... (silence) it was worlds apart.
While not all online markets sell fakes, I believe my smart customers will know the difference without me having to explain. Last year, I was heartbroken to hear that one of my favorite niche brands was pulling out of Hanoi. Although I have my worries, seeing our community of regulars grow motivates me to work even harder this year.
Also, I'm very grateful for the offers to sell our products on various online platforms, but I plan to stick with our offline shop. Since I run this place alone, providing proper after-sales service for online orders is nearly impossible. This is why I always recommend visiting the shop in person to test the scents, check everything thoroughly, and maybe even have a little chat with me!
