๐Ÿš‘ Knowing First Aid Can Save a Life

Emergencies can happen anytime, anywhereโ€”at home, at work, on the road, or in our communities. The first few minutes after an accident or sudden illness are often the most important.

Learning basic first aid can help you:
โœ… Respond confidently during emergencies.
โœ… Prevent injuries from becoming worse.
โœ… Provide lifesaving care until medical professionals arrive.
โœ… Protect your family, friends, colleagues, and community.

Remember:
๐Ÿฉธ Stay calm.
๐Ÿ“ž Call for medical assistance as soon as possible.
๐Ÿงค Only provide care if it is safe to do so.
โค๏ธ Your quick actions could make all the difference.

At Ningkaris Bridge Health Services, we are committed to building stronger, safer communities through quality first aid education and practical training.

Together, letโ€™s create a community where more people are prepared to help when every second counts.

๐Ÿ’™ Think Ningkaris Bridge Health Services only operates in Port Vila? Think again!

While Port Vila is where we are based, our commitment to sharing life-saving knowledge takes us across Vanuatu, reaching communities wherever the need arises.

Recently, our team had the privilege of conducting First Aid Training in Vatugulo Village, South Ambae. It was encouraging to see community members come together with a shared desire to learn skills that can help protect and care for their families and neighbours during emergencies.

Following the training, participants are now better equipped with practical first aid knowledge, including how to manage minor wounds, apply bandages correctly, respond to common injuries, recognize emergencies, and understand the important dos and donโ€™ts of first aid care. These are simple yet valuable skills that can make a significant difference while waiting for professional medical assistance.

At Ningkaris Bridge Health Services, we believe that first aid knowledge should be accessible to everyone. By empowering communities with these skills, we are helping build confidence, preparedness, and safer environments for all.

Our journey does not stop here. Next week, our team will continue moving further south to deliver more First Aid Training and share this important knowledge with other communities. We look forward to meeting more people, learning from them, and helping strengthen community readiness across our islands.

A heartfelt thank you to the people of Vatugulo Village for your warm hospitality, participation, and enthusiasm throughout the training.

Together, we are building stronger communities through knowledge that saves lives.

๐ŸŒฟ Greetings from South Ambae! ๐ŸŒฟ

You may be wondering where we have been, as we havenโ€™t shared many updates recently. Our team is happy to let you know that we are currently in Vatugulo Village, South Ambae, Penama Province!

As many of you know, network connectivity can be a challenge in our outer islands, but whenever we have the opportunity to connect, we will always do our best to keep you updated on our journey and the work we are doing in our communities. So, hereโ€™s a quick update from the field!

After successfully completing our work in Torba Province, the Ningkaris Bridge Health Services team has now moved into Penama Province, where we are facilitating First Aid Training for members of our grassroots communities.

We believe that lifesaving knowledge should reach every corner of Vanuatu, especially in communities that are located far from hospitals, clinics, and emergency health services. In many situations, the first person to respond to an accident or medical emergency is a family member, neighbour, teacher, or community leader. By providing first aid training, we are empowering communities with the knowledge and confidence to act quickly and potentially save lives.

Our mission is simple: to bridge the gap by ensuring that essential health knowledge is passed on to those who need it most, regardless of where they live.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Pacific Australia Skills for trusting our services and supporting this important initiative. Together, we are turning our vision into reality by bringing valuable health education and lifesaving skills to remote communities where health services may be limited or unavailable.

Every training session strengthens a community. Every participant trained becomes a potential lifesaver. โค๏ธ

Thank you for following our journey, and stay tuned for more updates from South Ambae!

Ureparapara Update โ€“ First Aid Training Continues

The NINGKARIS team continues its First Aid Training program in Ureparapara with 20 participants actively engaged throughout the sessions.

In our recent training, participants focused on style bandaging techniques used for managing bleeding and swelling. Through practical demonstrations and hands-on practice, they learned how proper bandaging can help control bleeding, reduce swelling, and provide immediate care in emergency situations.

The training also included the use of the triangular bandage, especially for supporting fractures and immobilising injured limbs while waiting for further medical assistance.

We are encouraged by the enthusiasm and commitment shown by all participants as they continue to build essential lifesaving skills for their communities.

More updates will follow as the training progresses.
