Starting slow this morning. đż
I felt I needed to take my time today, so I got on my bike with nowhere particularly urgent to be.
And somehow the morning kept giving me little gifts along the way â these incredible driftwood horse sculptures, the insanely delicious smell of clover and wildflowers, cicadas humming like white noise, birds everywhere.
I stopped by the water, stretched, did a the Daily Energy Routine, then took off my sandals and walked barefoot over the pebbles â waking up my feet, opening the foot gates and letting the energy space to flow .
And then, of course, a human encounter. đ
A man walking his dog stopped for a chat and told me he climbed the CN Tower â all 1,776 steps â to raise money for cancer research. Then he looked at me and said I should do it too, because âyouâre strong.â
I know I am... even though sometimes I complain on a family hiking trips.. so maybe I needed to hear that again this morning.
Most of the times taking care of my energy isnât about doing more.
Itâs riding a little slower. Smelling things. Listening. Putting bare feet on the grass. Letting myself wander. And noticing what meets me there.
This morning, that was enough. đż
