Save the date! Adaptive climbing is returning to Lexington this fall with 4 more events on the calendar. We will be returning to LEF Climbing on August 8, September 19, November 21, and December 19. We also need belay certified volunteers to support our adaptive climbers at these events!

We had a hot and sweaty trail day out at Hazel Hollow this weekend- but look at the amazing work these volunteers got done! Improvements included widening the trail to accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility devices, removing/smoothing tripping hazards and obstacles, and a reroute at the top of the trail to avoid a ladder. We aren’t quite done but you can see the HUGE improvement in the after photos!

Massive thanks to all the volunteers who came out to help, along with the RRGCC and Access Fund. The climbing community in the RRG is stepping up in a BIG way to support adaptive climbers this year- I hope LCOs around the country are taking notes!
