2026 LINGGO NG KABATAAN CELEBRATION:

The RHU Balindong, in collaboration with the Population and Development (PopDev) Unit of IPHO–Lanao del Sur, successfully conducted the Linggo ng Kabataan Celebration 2026.

The activity featured the distribution of hygiene kits and informative sessions for the youth focusing on Nutrition, Mental Health, Smoking Prevention, and Vaccination.

Sa pamamagitan ng programang ito, patuloy nating binibigyang kaalaman at suporta ang mga kabataan upang maging malusog, responsable, at handa para sa kanilang kinabukasan. 💚

BRIDGING GAPS IN CARDIOVASCULAR CARE:
ADVANCING HEART HEALTH IN LANAO DEL SUR

The APMC Heart Institute successfully conducted the Heart Institute Summit 2026, bringing together healthcare professionals from APMC, District Hospitals, and IPHO–Lanao del Sur.

The summit highlighted the importance of strong referral systems, early detection, and timely cardiovascular care, with learning sessions on ECG, AED, and Basic Life Support (BLS).

Sa sama-samang pagkilos at pagtutulungan, isulong natin ang mas matatag na pangangalaga sa puso para sa mas malusog na Lanao del Sur. ❤️

👉🏼👀Provincial Celebration of the 52nd Nutrition Month Successfully Held in Tamparan, Lanao del Sur
July 21, 2026

Matagumpay na isinagawa ng Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) – Lanao del Sur, katuwang ang Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Tamparan, ang 52nd Provincial Nutrition Month Celebration na may temang “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!”

Pinagsama-sama ng pagdiriwang ang iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan, mga health workers, partner organizations, mga opisyal ng barangay, at iba pang stakeholders upang isulong ang wastong nutrisyon at pangangalaga sa kalikasan sa pamamagitan ng tree planting, nutrition advocacy, mga lecture, paligsahan, at iba pang makabuluhang aktibidad.

Muling pinagtibay ng pagdiriwang ang sama-samang pangako ng mga katuwang na ahensya sa pagpapaigting ng mga programa tungo sa mas malusog, mas masustansya, at mas matatag na Lanao del Sur.

The Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) of Lanao del Sur Nutrition Unit actively participated in the 52nd Regional Nutrition Month Celebration held at the Marawi Convention Center, Marawi City, hosted by the City Health Office (CHO) of Marawi. On July 7,2026.

The celebration brought together various government agencies and partner organizations in promoting nutrition awareness and strengthening collaborative efforts toward achieving better health and nutrition outcomes. One of the highlights of the event was the official unveiling of Super Nutri Champ, the official Nutrition mascot of IPHO Lanao del Sur, symbolizing the province’s commitment to championing proper nutrition and healthy lifestyles for every family.

Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project Mayors Forum 2026

𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛 𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗘 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 (𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗢) 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 | 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟴–𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The Nutrition Unit of Lanao del Sur participated in the Health Emergency Response Operations (HERO) Training held on June 8–12, 2026 in Cotabato City.

The activity was attended by provincial coordinators from the Safe Motherhood Program (SMP), Field Health Information System (FHSIS), Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD), Population Development (POPDEV), Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Nutrition, and the DRRMH Medical Coordinator. The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of health personnel in emergency preparedness, response operations, and disaster management.

The Nutrition Unit of IPHO- Lanao del Sur conducted the Operation Timbang Data Quality Check (DQC) 2026 on May 19–20, 2026 to validate and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of Operation Timbang Plus (OPT Plus) data across selected municipalities.

The activity aimed to strengthen data quality, identify reporting gaps, and support evidence-based planning for nutrition interventions to improve the nutritional status of children in the province.

Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP) National and Regional Management Officers Monitoring Visit
April 13–15, 2026

IPHO–Lanao del Sur took part in the PMNP National and Regional Nutrition Management Officer Monitoring Visit, including participation in field visits to review the implementation of nutrition programs and ensure compliance with project standards.

The activity underscored the value of continuous monitoring in enhancing program performance, addressing gaps, and improving the delivery of nutrition services across the province.

PMNP Program Implementation Review (PIR)
April 6–8, 2026 | Apo View Hotel, Davao City

IPHO–Lanao del Sur attended the PMNP Program Implementation Review (PIR) to assess program performance, share best practices, and address gaps in implementation.

The activity highlighted the importance of PIR in strengthening monitoring systems, improving service delivery, and ensuring effective implementation of nutrition programs for better health outcomes.
