I have been at Lelley Fields Crematorium today. Christine, the lovely manager, kindly showed me around. This is the view from the large chapel, if you look closely there is a swallow flying over the pond. This is the landscape for local people and this view is very much part of the funeral services held at Lelley Fields. Gazing at this must surely provide calm and comfort at a difficult time. Thank you Christine for the opportunity to look around.

After a family visit this morning, I had the joy of coming across St Peter's church, Felkirk. It is over 900 years old, founded in 1120. The grounds are beautiful, and contain many curious old tombstones. The oldest I found was from 1707. A lovely half hour in the morning sun.
