"Am I the problem?"

The answer isn't always yes.
And it isn't always no.

Healthy growth isn't about carrying blame for everything that goes wrong. It's also not about believing everyone else is the problem.

It's about developing the courage to ask:

✨ What part belongs to me?
✨ What part doesn't?
✨ Is there something I can learn here?

Owning your mistakes isn't a sign of weakness.

It's a sign of emotional maturity.

Because the goal isn't to be perfect.

The goal is to become someone who is willing to reflect, repair, apologize when needed, and keep growing.

That's where real change happens.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but...

Making friends as an adult can feel incredibly lonely.

Not because we don't want friendships—but because life gets full. We get busy. We move. We become moms. We get hurt. We get anxious about putting ourselves out there. We convince ourselves everyone already has their people.

And then one day we realize we've spent years saying, "We should get coffee sometime," but never actually finding the time (or courage) to make it happen.

I hear this from women in my office all the time.

"I just wish I had more friends."

"I don't even know where to meet people."

"I feel awkward showing up alone."

So... we're creating the kind of event we wish existed.

Fall Into Friendship is a women's event designed to make meeting people feel a little easier. There will be coffee, snacks, simple guided activities (no awkward icebreakers, I promise), and a room full of women who are probably feeling a lot like you.

If you've been craving more connection—or you've been telling yourself you'll "put yourself out there" someday—maybe this is your someday.

I'd absolutely love to see you there.

You can register using the link or by scanning the QR code on the event flyer.

And if you know another woman who's been saying she needs more friends, send this to her. Sometimes all it takes is someone saying, "Come with me."

I think we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to have it all figured out.

To have healed by now.
To be more patient.
Less anxious.
More productive.
More confident.

But healing isn't a finish line you cross one day.

It's a process.

Some days you'll feel like you're making huge strides. Other days you might feel like you're back where you started. Neither day defines you.

Being a work in progress doesn't mean you're failing.

It means you're still growing.

And maybe that's enough for today.

We live in a world that teaches us to fix, solve, distract, and move on as quickly as possible.

But healing doesn't usually happen because we found the perfect solution.

It happens because we finally allowed ourselves to feel what we've been trying so hard to avoid.

Sadness isn't a problem to solve.
Grief isn't a weakness to eliminate.
Fear isn't always something to outrun.

Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is stay.

To breathe.
To notice.
To make space for the discomfort instead of rushing to escape it.

Not everything is meant to be fixed.

Some things are meant to be felt—and in feeling them, we often discover they begin to move.

Healing isn't found in avoiding the hard emotions. It's found in learning that you can survive them.

Grief is like glitter.

At first, it feels like it's everywhere.

You try to clean it up. You put one foot in front of the other. Over time, life begins to feel a little lighter.

Then one ordinary day...

A song.
A smell.
A birthday.
A place.
A random Tuesday.

And suddenly, you notice another tiny piece of glitter.

Not because you're "back at square one."
Not because you've failed to heal.

But because grief isn't something we erase—it's something we learn to carry.

The glitter may become less noticeable over time, but every now and then it catches the light and reminds us of the love, the loss, and the life that changed us.

Healing doesn't mean forgetting.

It means learning that joy and grief can exist together, and that it's okay when those little pieces of glitter still show up.

Be gentle with yourself.

recently came across a quote that asked:

"If everyone in the world put their problems in a hat, would you risk drawing another—or keep your own?"

It's a thought-provoking question.

Not because it minimizes our struggles, but because it reminds us that everyone is carrying something we may never see.

The truth is, pain isn't a competition. Someone else's hardship doesn't make your struggles any less real.

But sometimes perspective can create space for gratitude, compassion, and a deeper appreciation for the strengths we've developed along the way.

You have survived 100% of your hardest days.

You have learned things, grown in ways, and built strengths that may not be visible to others—but they matter.

Your story matters.
Your pain matters.
Your healing matters.

And if you're in a difficult season right now, may you offer yourself the same compassion you would offer someone else carrying a heavy load.

The way you speak to yourself matters.

Many women spend so much time offering encouragement, grace, and compassion to everyone around them while speaking harshly to themselves.

What if you spoke to yourself the way you would speak to a friend you love?

What if you celebrated your progress instead of focusing on your shortcomings?

What if you believed that being imperfect doesn't make you unworthy?

Affirmations aren't about pretending everything is perfect.

They're about intentionally challenging the beliefs that tell you you're not enough, not doing enough, or not deserving of kindness.

Today, take a moment to pause and remind yourself:

💚 I am worthy.
💚 I am enough.
💚 I can trust myself.
💚 I deserve rest.
💚 I am growing.

Because the relationship you have with yourself is one of the most important relationships you'll ever have.
