Whole & Heard

Whole & Heard Dismissed by doctors. Derailed by grief. I figured it out myself—and now I share everything.

Gut health, honest storytelling, and the real conversations nobody else is having.

If you're experiencing:
✨Bloating after every meal?
✨Constipation that won't go away?
✨Exhausted no matter how much you sleep?
✨Hair falling out with no explanation?

Your body is not randomly doing things. It's communicating. You may have been told that experiencing any of these symptoms is normal.

But just because something is common doesn't mean it's normal. You don't have to accept it as your baseline.

Share this with someone who needs the reminder.

I used to think healing my gut was about eating clean and taking the right supplements.

It wasn't.

What I wasn't paying attention to was what I was tolerating. The environments that didn't feel right. The people I kept overextending myself for. The version of myself I was performing for everyone else.

My body was reflecting all of it.

When I lost my grandfather in 2022 and my grandmother in 2024, my body felt every bit of it.

Every symptom I had worked so hard to heal—the unexplained weight gain, the hair loss, the inflammation—got so much worse.

Grief doesn't just live in your heart. It lives in your gut. And when you're never given the space to process it, your body starts to process it for you—in ways you don't expect.

If you've been through significant loss and your health has never been the same since—you're not imagining it. Your body is telling you something.

One of the ways I honor my healing journey now is by focusing on one fond memory of them instead of sitting in the pain of their absence.

If you feel called, I invite you to do the same in the comments 👇

The gut is often called the second brain—and for good reason.

Most people think gut health is just about bloating or digestion. But a disrupted gut affects almost every system in your body.

Inflammation. Immune function. Skin. Hair. Mood. Energy.

Leaky gut alone has been linked to conditions most people would never connect to their digestive system.

If you've been dealing with symptoms that don't seem related—they might be more connected than you think.

Save this and share it with someone who needs to hear it.

For almost a decade I was losing my hair, breaking out in hives, dealing with chronic constipation, and feeling exhausted every single day.

Every doctor I saw missed it.
I finally figured out what was behind all of it — and it wasn't what anyone expected.

The full story is on my Substack 👇

For almost a decade, I suffered with unexplained symptoms--hair loss, inflammation, chronic constipation, and allergies; it was all connected to gut health.

Has a doctor ever told you everything looks "normal" but you knew something was wrong?

I heard it for years. Normal bloodwork. Normal tests. Meanwhile I was losing my hair, breaking out in hives, couldn't go to the bathroom, and was exhausted every single day.

It wasn't normal. It was my gut — and nobody connected the dots until I did it myself. Just because it's common, doesn't mean it's normal.

Let me know in the comments if you've ever been dismissed by a medical professional just because everything was "normal."

First thing after I brush my teeth — lemon water. Before food, before coffee, before anything. Then I wait 30 minutes.

It sounds simple because it is. But this one habit was the first thing I changed when I started taking my gut health seriously and my body actually noticed.

Do you have a morning habit that's been a game changer for you?

Why this gut-friendly breakfast actually works 👀

Every ingredient here is doing something for your gut:

✨ yogurt → packed with probiotics that help balance your gut bacteria + support digestion
✨ wild blueberries → rich in polyphenols, which feed good bacteria and help reduce gut inflammation
✨ strawberries → fiber + vitamin C to support digestion and overall gut lining health
✨ flax & pumpkin seeds → provide fiber + omega-3s to support regular bowel movements and hormone balance
✨ granola → adds prebiotic fiber (aka food for your good bacteria)
✨ raw honey → natural antimicrobial properties + gentle prebiotic support
✨ cinnamon → helps regulate blood sugar (which directly impacts gut health + cravings)
✨ black sesame seeds → rich in minerals like calcium + support overall digestive function

This is what I mean when I say gut health is about consistency not perfection; it’s about building a balanced plate, not cutting everything out.

Support your gut & your gut supports everything else.

If you’re one of those people that can only go at home. This blog post is for you 👇

It sounds harmless, even relatable: “I can only p**p at home.”
