Today, our community came together for a successful PuroKalusugan activity held at Purok Kalachuchi, bringing essential health services and education closer to every resident.

Participants received valuable health education on:

❤️ Non-Communicable Diseases (Hypertension, Diabetes, and more)
🦟 Dengue Prevention and Control
đźš­ Smoking Prevention and Cessation

Health services provided included:
✔️ Free HIV Testing
✔️ Random Blood Sugar (RBS) Screening
✔️ Distribution of Prescribed Medications

One Goal, One Day, Two Meaningful Community Health Services.

‎On August 5, 2026, our team successfully conducted HIV testing for pregnant and lactating women at Barangay Marbel, promoting early detection and supporting the health of mothers and their babies.
‎
‎At the same time, free chest X-ray services were provided at Barangay Central Malamote under the National Tuberculosis Program (NTP), helping strengthen tuberculosis prevention through early detection and accessible healthcare.
‎
‎Together, we remain committed to bringing quality health services closer to every community.

On July 30–31, 2026, the Buntis Congress was successfully conducted at Barangay Sta. Maria and Barangay Manubuan in collaboration with the Integrated Health Program staff of Cotabato Provincial Hospital (CPH).

‎During the two-day activity, the health team provided informative discussions on oral health, HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) to promote early awareness among pregnant women, including first-time mother and importance of regular prenatal care to help ensure a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery.

‎As part of the program, free ultrasound services were provided to the pregnant women. In addition, all participants received Buntis Kits from the Rural Health Unit (RHU) and the Cotabato Provincial Hospital (CPH) staff.

‎The activity strengthened the participants' knowledge of maternal health and highlighted the importance of accessing essential prenatal services for the well-being of both mother and child.

‎We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Integrated Health Program staff of Cotabato Provincial Hospital, the Rural Health Unit, the barangay officials of Sta. Maria and Manubuan, and everyone who contributed to the successful implementation of this activity.

A total of 20 generous donors participated in the Mobile Blood Donation Drive held at Barangay New Bugasong in partnership with KCBC. Your selfless act of donating blood will help save lives and bring hope to those in need.

A successful Bayanihan KaDugo Awards 2026 was held in Cotabato City through the initiative of the SOCCSKSARGEN Regional Blood Center bringing together the Rural Health Unit employees of the Municipality of Matalam and the Barangay Captains from the different barangays. The event recognized outstanding contributions to the National Voluntary Blood Donation Program, honoring the collective efforts and commitment of local government officials, employees, and community leaders in promoting voluntary blood donation and saving lives.

‎Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Mayor Oscar M. Valdevieso; our Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Rhemia G. Guianan; our Blood Program Coordinator, Agnes P. Amores, RMT; and the entire RHU staff and HRH team for their unwavering support, dedication, and commitment that made our participation in the Bayanihan KaDugo Awards 2026 a success.
