🔬 Day 1 Highlights - ESCV Turku Workshop

An inspiring start to the ESCV Turku Workshop: Emerging infections – from One Health awareness to preparedness in clinical virology.

Yesterday set the tone with insightful discussions on emerging infections, preparedness, and the vital role of the One Health approach in clinical virology.

A key highlight was the compelling update from Prof. Olli Vapalahti, who shared the latest insights on infections, including reflections on current events following a significant number of acute infections reported on a cruise ship.

ESCV–ENNGS Workshop on Emerging Infections – From One Health Awareness to Preparedness in Clinical Virology is taking place 6–7 May 2026 at Hotel Kakola, Turku, Finland.

ESCV will award up to 20 travel grants to help young researchers participate in this important event.
