The Death Doula Ontario Network members will be facilitating several Advance Care Planning virtual workshops. Our first is on Friday February 18th from 10 to 11:30 am. Please register using the link below to join us. Advance Care Planning is a conversational process where we identify our wishes and preferences for care and empower our designated substitute decision maker (SDM) to speak on our behalf if and when we become mental incapable to make decisions for our selves. Please share with others.

Advance Care Planning is a process of reflection and communication. It is a time for you to reflect on your values and wishes.

What a great idea!

The cemetery owners turned a portion of their land into a pollinator meadow, where you’ll find beehives, which are supplied and maintained by The Honest to Goodness Farm Co. Since cemeteries in British Columbia are recognized as a single-use business, neither the honey nor the produce is for sale. Instead, families can sponsor a beehive for their loved one and then receive the vast percentage of the honey that it produces.

The leafy greens are very much alive.

Just before Alex Godfrey’s grandmother died from dementia, she snapped back to lucidity and regaled him with stories of her youth. Could moments like this teach us more about the workings of the brain?
