Something I have been nerding out about this month. The lines you see in the grass is the product of why I am choosing to raise animals the way I am. After the snow and cold weather from a month ago, the grass in our field was mostly brown and dried out everywhere except where I have run the chickens. The pictures don’t do it justice as to how much more alive and green the grass is in the spots the chickens have been. This is why I have decided to start a farm. Proper animal husbandry gives both the most nutritious food for my family but also nourishes the earth. Regenerative farming improves the health of the soil, which improves the health of the plants, which improves the health of the animals, and which improves the health of us in a beautiful naturally designed cycle. I am excited for what this second year brings to my land as I add more animal inputs and continue to improve my rotation. @ Thompsons Station, Tennessee
