TODAY, Saturday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Drug Enforcement Administration will host DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day at locations across the country. DEA and its partners will collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs.

Take Back Day offers free and anonymous disposal of unneeded medications at more than 4,000 local drop-off locations nationwide.

Use the link below to access brochures, social media assets, and additional materials to help your patients find the nearest drop off location.

Good news! Even more vaccines are free for people with Medicare Part D!

Examples of vaccines now covered under Medicare Part D include:

Shingles
Tetanus/diphtheria (Td)
Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough) (Tdap)
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis B

Flu shots, COVID-19 vaccines, and pneumococcal shots are still covered by Medicare.

You can schedule your vaccination at your local pharmacy without a prescription as long as you meet the eligibility requirements for that vaccine.
