It's time to make it official and post it on social media.......the Superior Project SEARCH program is taking a year hiatus for the 26-27 program year. Many of you know that this program runs with the support of multiple agencies and funding partners. One of our main funding partners has had to start a waitlist which impacts our recruiting and eligibility for new interns. The steering committee made the decision to take a year and regroup, address some nagging issues we've been struggling with and hopefully come back stronger than ever in the fall of '27. This year's cohort is rocking and rolling and will finish out the year, but next fall will be quiet. Not a fun decision but the right decision.

Hello! It’s been a hot minute but, we are back!! Due to some unplanned staffing changes our site had to push the start back to October. We now have a great team leading the program, all the paperwork is in order (🤞) and the intern are working through orientation and onboarding. Today was a highlight- the scrubs came in! Here is intern Josh showing off what all the ‘cool interns’ will be wearing this year. Can’t wait to see these interns get started on worksites next week!

Timeline update!
In an effort to make sure we have a strong team ready to start with out interns this year, we are moving the start date of SEARCH back to late September/early October. One of the best skills any employee can have is flexibility, and we are practicing that daily as we search for the right team members to lead this amazing program.

We are looking for an instructor for our Project Search Superior - Essentia Health program starting early September. This person will work with a skills trainer to support adult interns with disabilities during the 9 month program to learn how to be the best employee then can be. This person will have strong communication and organization skills, is comfortable talking with families and agency partners along with onsite staff. A college degree is not required, preferred but not required. Work and life experience can be considered in place of specific training. The biggest requirement is a strong desire to help and belief in adults to become ready for community emplyment.
This is a 7:30-3:15 Monday - Friday position with holiday breaks similar to school schedules, perfect for that person who needs to shuttle kids to/from school.

Our Project SEARCH program is looking for a new team member! We are looking for a part time skills trainer. This position works with interns directly in their different work sites to support them to be the best intern they can. We are looking for someone from approximately 9 - 2 Monday - Friday. No specific training required, but we do need someone who can manage time effectively, communicate professionally and has basic computer skills. This would be perfect for a parent who wants to get kids to/from school or a retiree just looking for a few hours a week to earn some 'fun money'.
