The greatest measure of our work is the positive impact we make in people's lives.

Seeing our participants grow, achieve their goals, and thrive is what drives us every day. Feedback like this reminds us why we do what we do.

A safe, appropriate home is where independence and wellbeing begin - especially for people living with disability and mental health challenges.

This Homelessness Week, BB Disability & Mental Health Services is raising awareness of housing supports such as Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), Supported Independent Living (SIL), and independent living options that put people in control of their own future.

Celebrating National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Children's Day

Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, culture, and bright futures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

At BB Disability & Mental Health Services, we are committed to fostering inclusive, respectful, and culturally safe environments where every child feels valued, connected, and empowered to thrive. We proudly honour the voices, stories, and rich cultural heritage of First Nations children and their communities.

Together, let's celebrate their identity, embrace diversity, and continue building a future where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Happy National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Children's Day!

Happy International Day of Friendship!

Friendship brings people together, creates lasting bonds, and reminds us that everyone deserves to feel valued, included, and supported.

Today, we celebrate the relationships that brighten our lives and the communities where people connect, share, and grow together.

Small Acts of Self-Care, Big Impact

Taking care of yourself is an important part of living a healthy and balanced life. Self-care can look different for everyone - staying active, getting enough rest, spending time with loved ones, enjoying hobbies, or simply taking a moment to recharge.
Small daily habits can make a big difference to your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
This World Self-Care Day, take time to prioritise yourself and celebrate the simple actions that help you feel your best.

Connecting Through Community at NAIDOC Week

Last week, the BB Disability & Mental Health Services team was proud to be part of the CareWays NAIDOC Koonawarra Family Fun Day.

It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, connect with our local community, and enjoy a day filled with culture, learning, and fun.

At BB Disability & Mental Health Services, we believe that being involved in culturally significant community events like NAIDOC helps us build stronger relationships, deepen our understanding, and create meaningful connections with the people and communities we support. We're committed to fostering an inclusive environment where culture is respected, celebrated, and embraced.

A big thank you to CareWays and everyone involved in making the day such a wonderful success. We look forward to continuing to support and celebrate our local community.
