Over the past few years, I’ve watched people work so hard to “manage” their health, only to feel like they’re stuck on a hamster wheel. I hear things like, “It’s not sustainable,” or “I just couldn’t give up...(plug in any food or behavior).
The more I listened, the clearer it became: the missing piece isn’t discipline. It’s connection. For one reason or another, people lose connection with themselves and lack the support they need from others.
Earlier this year, I wrote a Metabolic Minutes (Substack) article called Honest Connection. It landed in a way I didn’t expect.
Honest Connection is the idea that real change begins when someone can be truthful about where they are and is met with warmth rather than judgment. When that happens, healing becomes possible.
That one article sparked something, and now I’m building a YouTube channel called Honest Connection: The Inner Work of Metabolic Health to bring these conversations into real life.
