On the Full Moon, especially one like this, I like to write down all the negative things I want to get rid of. Then, when it is safe to do so, I set each piece of paper ablaze, releasing all the negative energy attached to them. This returns the energy to the Universe for recycling.

I am participating in the Swim 5 Miles for the American Cancer Society Fundraiser.
After completing mile 4 and a little more I decided to reward myself with a soak in the hot tub.

May 1st, known by many as Beltane or Calan Mai, is a festive holiday that celebrates the peak of Spring or the beginning os Summer. Beltane marks the midway point between the Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice. It is the return of the green season.
Traditionally, Beltane is celebrated by dancing around the Maypole, creating floral wreaths, lighting bonfires and leading your cattle between two bonfires to protect their health. Jumping the bonfire or passing between two bonfires is often performed by people as well. This is used to purify the body and also for fertility. Of course, what is a holiday or celebration without food? Right? Common foods eaten during Beltane/Calan Mai include, but are not limited to; honey cakes (fairy cakes) Bannocks (oatcakes), mead, fresh seasonal fruits, grilled meats and dairy products.
Ps…..A word of advice; it is said that Beltane is a time when the veil or gate between the mortal world and the supernatural world is quite thin. So, be sure to honor the fae/fairy folk. You don’t want to anger the fae. 😉
