STRENGTHENING PARTNERSHIPS FOR BETTER COMMUNITY HEALTH

Earlier today, led by our Chief Executive Officer, Prof. John K. Mungania, together with Nyambene Synod Bishop and Vice Chair of the Board of Management, Bishop Kinoti Anampiu, we had the privilege of hosting Nana Kilemi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, alongside Nancy Gitonga, Project Manager at Needy Cancer Initiative, during a courtesy call to our hospital management.

The visit aimed at strengthening partnerships in the healthcare sector, particularly in cancer awareness, prevention, and patient support initiatives. The Needy Cancer Health Initiative champions cancer advocacy through preventive education and screening, livelihood support, survivor food donations, and provision of breast prostheses.

We are pleased to inform the surrounding communities that tomorrow, the initiative will conduct an outreach at Maua Methodist Hospital - Kiutine. The outreach will focus on screening and awareness for breast cancer, cervical cancer, and prostate cancer.

Women aged 35 years and above, and men aged 40 years and above, are encouraged to take advantage of this important initiative.

📍 Venue: Maua Methodist Hospital – Kiutine

All are warmly invited.

At Maua Methodist Hospital, we remain committed to partnerships that promote the health and wellbeing of our communities.

POMP, FUN AND COLOUR MARK INTERNATIONAL NURSES WEEK CLIMAX

Today, our nurses, joined by students and staff members, brought the International Nurses Week celebrations to a colourful and memorable climax with an awareness walk from Maili Tatu to the Hospital Grounds.

The celebrations began on a vibrant note with a spiritually uplifting morning service led by the nurses, followed by the official flagging off of the walk by the Synod Bishop and Board Vice Chair, Bishop Kinoti Anampiu.

The day was further marked by tree planting, fellowship over shared meals, and inspiring remarks from distinguished speakers led by our Chief Executive Officer, Prof. John K. Mungania.

Under the powerful theme, “Our Nurses, Our Future: Empowered Nurses Save Lives,” the walk served as a bold statement of the critical role nurses play in transforming healthcare and saving lives every single day. The event also created awareness within the community on the dedication, sacrifice, compassion, and professionalism that define the nursing fraternity.

Today, we proudly celebrated the heartbeat of healthcare - our nurses. Their unwavering commitment, resilience, and compassionate service continue to bring hope, healing, and comfort to countless lives.

As a fraternity, we honour and appreciate our nurses for their selfless service and tireless dedication to humanity. We salute them for being true heroes in healthcare.
