As eating disorder professionals, Pride Month is an opportunity to recognize the unique and often overlooked experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals. Research consistently shows elevated rates of eating disorders, body image distress, and barriers to care among q***r and trans communities. Affirming, culturally responsive treatment is not a special interest area. It is ethical, evidence-based care.

If you have body image, eating disorder, or disordered eating listed in your bio as a helping professional on Headway, Psychology Today, or your personal website, we’d love to invite you to our quarterly meeting on July 17th.

Our goal is to continue building connection, collaboration, and visibility within the San Antonio eating disorder community while strengthening support for this vulnerable population. Whether you are seasoned in the field or newer to this work, we are excited to connect with providers who are passionate about compassionate, informed care.
