The Advertising Standards Authority has ruled against online direct cremation firm Pure Cremation.

Mr Dennis Arnold of North Wingfield has sadly passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital aged 85 years.

Dennis resident locally for 85 years.

Dennis was a retired mining surveyor and retired in 1991.

His hobbies and interests were gardening, football especially Chesterfield FC, cricket and stock car racing.

Dennis leaves his wife Anne, son David and daughter Jane also 4 grandchildren Jenny, Robert, Holly and Joseph.

The funeral is due to take place on Tuesday 7th July 2026 at St Lawrence Church, North Wingfield at 11.00am followed by a committal service at Amber Valley Crematorium at 12.00pm.

Donations in the memory of Dennis will be divided between The British Heart Foundation and Children with Cancer.

Recently we have been on a tour of our new local Crematorium.

Roseland Park and Crematorium is located on Common Lane/A6407 near Shirebrook Cemetery. Developed by Bolsover District Council, the facility features a main crematorium building, a wake facility, a florist kiosk, memorial gardens, and peaceful parkland designed to ease waiting times for local funerals.

This is truly a beautiful, calm and respectful setting. pared with a host of modern hi tech facilities that bring funeral services in to the future.
